Depredation is out because he can't get the day off work. I'm assuming MaskOfSanity is in but I guess that depends on if he can get a ride. kona probably isn't in because he isn't in for anything ever, the big jerk!!!!! I don't know if tito887 is in or not.

I'm heading to GU tonight; there's some people there who play MK there but don't read TYM or SRK, so they may not know there's a tournament. Also I might be able to twist LuckyD's arm about entering just so that we can have the headcount (he quit the game after they removed Cyrax's bomb trap; I keep telling him Cyrax is still good and he's just like "yeah but effo").

edit: Oh, I forgot. noobtron should be there too. I don't know if he's entering though. He played MK at Evo but didn't enter in the local tournament at the Souper Bowl, so who knows.

Yeah man, I'm not a sure thing yet... Kind of a busy weekend. Time will tell.

Update, I talked to LuckyD and he's in if we need people, and out if we don't. Also a guy whose name I did not catch said he would check it out. CitizenCIA has also posted in the SRK thread saying he's in. I'm a bit more confident than I have been recently that a tournament will actually happen tomorrow.

@FordCruller: GGs tonight! Also I spent a little bit of time in training mode just now with Sonya's EX cartwheel... it looks like only the startup has armor, and the rest of it doesn't. Rule of thumb seems to be that after her hands touch the ground, the armor is gone. I only spent about 10 minutes messing around with it though so that's not word of God or anything.

@mcpeanuts: Hell yeah man, GGs tonight indeed! And alrighty dude, thanks for the info. I'm gonna have to see if I can work that in to my strategy. Also, I'm really gonna have to assess my playing and get my execution down better. I was dropping stuff I should not have been. And I really, REALLY appriciate the tips. It's tough to find someone who actually wants to discuss the game and not scream, "FREE!!!" or "SCRUB!!!" after winning a round......seriously. haha I just might take a look a Sub now too.

hope it was a good showing and they do more of them in the future I will make it a point to get work off for the next one. My boss is on vacation so he really couldnt get me specific days off this week as I am pretty much living at work. GL to all you guys that made it.

Yo good games to everyone I played today at the PWA! Thanks for coming out to the tournament, especially to the people who drove up from way south. With your help we made MK a success!

Next tournament is two weeks from today, August 20th at Game Underground in Framingham. Hope to see you there!

GGs to mcpeanuts and whoever the Jade/Sonya/Sub player was at GU. Sorry, I'm absolutely horrible with names. I'm going to try my best to make it to gatherings more often but I can't guarantee anything. You best believe if MK is there, I will be playing! Also, who won the PWA tourney?

I'm REALLY going to try and get Habity and I to make it out to this. It'll be good practice for us before SJ5 it's just so hard because I work EVERY Saturday.

For the first tournament at PWA I don't think it could have gone much better. Good games to all especially MaskedSanity. I was on edge that entire time.

Its too bad a lot of the people who showed up seemed like they weren't going to be able to make it again. But regardless, I'm hooked now and will probably try and make it to the next GU tournament MCpeanuts, and I'm GOING to beat you*. muahaha

For reals though you did way better than I did in my first tournament, and if you keep at it you'll probably be bodying everyone for free before long. GGs mate :D

I actually haven't reserved it yet I was gonna ask if you wanted to stay with us. I'm coming with a group of 4 including me if you don't mind sharing with us lol. We all stayed together at ECT3. Is it just you or are you going with people too?

I don't mind. It is in fact ideal as I wanted to find someone to split the cost with. Hotels are expensive!
