I don't own a stick and I really don't plan to anyway. Even though mk is so lenient with directions that I could do basic bnb combos after about 15 minutes of practice on the arcade box at GGA I still don't want to use a stick when a pad I don't need to practice using, I can just practice the game I'm playing.

For all the Pad Warriors out there do any of you have one of the newer 6 button fight pads that keep coming out since MVC3? It has the extended left handle and microswitches in it. I'm really curious how those feel to use since I'm going pad warrior on MK9 right now. They extended the handle on the left so if you wanted to go overhand style on the pad to piano inputs you could on these things without sacrificing a good grip on the controller. I'd like to know about the thumbpad though. It looks to be an analog stick with switches inside, but I always rocked D Pad if I pad warriored. Not sure how I feel about this.

Yeah I want to try these. I need one for PS3 since that's what the tournaments will more than likely be on.
Ouch...um I just found out from SRK and some other folks doing some pretty in depth reviews that the stick on these is a comfort nightmare and is so smooth you slip on inputs involving crouch a lot. Also apparently the buttons wear out easily and some games won't read it at all. They said it worked fair on MK9 due to the easy inputs but anything trickier like a SRK or tatsu you could forget pulling off due to slippage and the cup shape of the stick being poor for rolling motions. Switches were pretty precise and stuff from what they said, but the stick shape and flimsy buttons that wore out after 4 months kind of busted a cool idea apparently.

This makes me sad because I was pretty stoked for microswitches in my pads. Them clicky sounds are reassuring its just a shame the buttons having too much play and eventually developing looseness or stick isn't. Guess its fightpads over PDP versus pads. Still they're only $14 so I may be able to gut one and attempt to frankenstein the switches into a dpad and replacement buttons. I could always ask Markman for advice on this sort of build.

i hear that there's gonna be a feature for easier inputs on stick, for example on pad you would do down + forward as inputs and on stick i would see that as a bit harder to do, but from what i heard they're gonna add sf like inputs so you have the option to do down +down forward+ down, i think this will make it easier for stick users and can't wait to try it

Get staffed bro
PS2 pad with Etokki convertor for 360, so same as MK. Plus I plan on traveling a little and am too lazy to lug a stick around.

I shall hang with using my stick, ever since I started using it I just can't seem to play any FG on a D-Pad anymore, it just feel awkward now, that and the damn thing was expensive enough I am gonna get some freaking use out of it.
