sonya is not bad for kung lao, also what a lot of people think is that sonya has a very low hitbox but kung lao's 21 always connects on her crouch block so, she is not like mileena, sektor low. Not even jax, kitana low because 21 doesnt connect on those characters on all ranges.

Those are the two biggest bullshit things about him, but he's got plenty more, mostly based around the threat of those.
uh d4 kills him in this mu, prevents him from jumping around and his tele is going to get blown up by her swift d2. Lao can't use standing 2 in footsies because d4 goes right under it. Death and Showtime could surely explain to you why this mu is in sonya's favor, it is at least 6 4. This has always been considered a hard match for lao.
