And you are arrogant if you think you get to decide that for a person. Like Owerbart said there are christians who believe in equal rights and evolution(i.e science). I think religion is an obstacle too, but I realize it is not my call. So why dont you get the stick out from up your ass and realize there are differing viewpoints from your own.

FYI I am an atheist and you anti-theists annoy me just as much as fundamental christians.

Once again, it's a shame that because of the belief of few, you generalize your concept in everyone.

Excuse me where did you see me saying I was deciding anyones belief for them? So long as you don't attempt to use your belief as the basis to force others to do or not do something I really dont care what you believe.

And if you watched the video, they ARE NOT trying to force their religion on anyone. Just because it has Christ in the title, does not mean they are trying to recruit new followers.

I seem to have misundertstood, my mistake.

It's a shame people don't do more to kick out their bad apples.

Going back to the catholic church, how does one justify giving money to an organization that was (and continues to) systematically covering up child molestation? How do you even justify showing up to support it?

Yes, which is why I support what they are doing. The rules they impose are just normal good behavior (altho I disagree somewhat about the no cursing one).

I want attacking you or this group, but I dont think religion if innocent or completely harmless either. I think I have a right to be annoyed at some of the things that result from religious belief.

Catholicism is not all christianity. Personally, I agree with you, I do not like the Catholic church. But again, I dont really think catholics who just want to worship should be blamed for those priests. Now the pope, and higher level clergy is a totally different story.

And no cursing is kind of cherry picking but it isnt that hard to stop lol.

Sure, they are just one example group. I understand their desire to worship, but I don't see any way for members to get the church to change unless they stop showing up.

And ya the cursing thing is just kinds meh, who cares, but I did laugh that they stipulated it, but if they sponsored me is be fine.

First: You don't give money.
Second: Unlike what you seem to think, there are not just one only Catholic Church. In fact, there are more of 20 accepted ramifications. Of course someones are more orthodox than others, but someones aren't. I'm part of the Salesian part, founded by John Bosco. As far as I'm concerned, the only case of child molestation from this ramification was denounced by the own church and the priest was excomulgated. You have quite a gamma of Catholics, from the ones who believe in Creationism, the ones who want Latin-spoken masses back, and the ones like me who defend homosexuality and Evolution. What gather us together as Catholics is our view about Virgin Mary and we have a different view from some rites.

I was raised roman catholic, and every mass I went to passed a collection plate around. I'm not familiar with your group, and my googgling is failing me, so I'm not quite sure how your group is different, but I think to most people catholic equates with roman catholic, at least in the usa... And all the diosceses I've lived near have sex abuse lawsuits against them.

Do you remember which was your order? I do believe you anyway. Refering to my post above, I don't think you should despise Catholics just because of the abuses. Of course they are heinous acts done by horrible people, but it's just the minority. You think every catholic rapes children? No. We are against of it.

No cursing is the reason i didnt apply. I'm a Christian and i appreciate that their method is to give an open invitation for anyone who would like to join in a bible study or whatever, but fuck man, i cant guarentee that in that moment in grand finals when OBS REO forces a rd 3 in the last match against me i wont drop an f bomb. If they were more relentlessly evangelical then i wouldnt be ok with it (because to me religion is a personal thing, not a community, body, army, or whatever metaphor they like to use), but they seem fine. jamessmk, Owerbart, aj1701 thanks for being chill about it.
