Oh please believe if I had the money to attend mlg dallas I would. I don't back down from any type of challenge. What have you done though? You call me a scrub, but I have placed in any tournament I have played in MK. I have played top players, people can actually attest for my skill in something I hardly play anymore due to going back to school. I have taught people how to play this game, and brought people to this site who have contributed to it in a helpful way. I have led my own MK community in my home city for 8 months. What have you done to call me a scrub. If anything sir you calling me a scrub, your overall lack of knowledge, and your obvious attempts at trolling and derailing any thread you post in shows you have no respect for this community. It's matchup dependent. Like I said, he's Honda. Honda turtles some matchups, goes in on others. His defensive footsies are pretty solid...offensively he's pretty set as well.

no one ever said all your post are bad, but as far as this thread goes all you have said is "Rain suck","Cd Jr would body everyone", and shot down anyone argument with, "you're a scrub.", and "cool story bro." witch is more or less the like arguing with a 5th grade. if you wanna back up why you think Rain is shit fine, what GOOD Rain players have you played? do you know anything about Rain? don't come into a forum just to say a characters is shit without having a mature, educated argument.
It's true that Rain need to mostly rush down to be effective, but some characters can stay away from Rain so well it dose him more harm then good trying to chase them down the whole match. The idea of a turtle Rain is to get you're damage, witch is easily close to 40 - 50% most the time, and turtle. What this dose if forces your opponent to come to you therefore making it easier for apply pressure and punish mistakes.
and the idea of cyrax ends after "to get ur damage"... that's the hardest part, cuz u'll need to rush them down most of the time
Obviously his RHC game is the meat of his offense. His various armor options,especially shield dashes, allow him to stuff characters trying to outdo him in footsies, as well as allow him to get in. Against a lot of zoning, lightning is a solid check to projectiles, since it is a tracking projectile that has a immobilizing time comparable to Sub and Cyrax's projectiles. He can trade, then teleport into a comfortable position. You can't full screen zone Rain relentlessly unless you're Freddy.
