MLG Dallas - Will Noob Player, Madzin Make it?

Lt. Boxy Angelman

I WILL EAT THIS GAME
Its really ridicoules how people dont know anything.
You just look at a 5/6 month old video and say thats me how Im going to play.
If you would even look up the first tournament you would know that this gameplay here is just OLD and BAD. People dont even ask me to upload these but you guys are the real pros here right?... no comment

So much disrespectful stuff here its just sad. Thank you all for your support ... very much!
Maaaan. If I wasn't broke, I'd help get you to Dallas so you could fucking eat everybody.

Hype is hype. Any way you slice it. Let alone more international hype, which I've said ever since EVO is the one biggest thing this game is missing as far as perpetual energy to keep the scene going. Games like KOF, SC and the like don't have to worry about such things because their global scene is solid as a fucking rock, same goes for Tekken, same goes for Capcom. We don't have that, not in the same manner, anyway. We have strong ties around the world, but nothing big or well-financed enough to make as big as effect on our game. But here we have Madzin. Getting the EU fucking hyped. Getting the US's attention. Bringing another potential draw to MLG if he makes it, and even still bringing lots of extra attention to the build for the show even if he doesn't.
Why is that not the more important topic being discussed here?
How many people thought Curbo was gonna get eaten alive when he first made it to MLG, from regular folks to higher-ups and so on, and now look at him. And even if he had died a horrible death, it was still a hell of a story on the way there. Same with the rise of Blake and KH and their online-heavy players, and so on. Just because a person can make it work online doesn't mean they don't know how to make it work offline just as well. You can't rule out anything. And why you'd want to rule this out, the guy who got an e-bow of respect from Reo from taking him down in a way next to no one else can ever say they have or will, and who would probably train his fucking ass off to make sure he was properly prepared if given the opportunity to come out.

Let's give the man his due.

If u improved so much then tell why here is an old video instead of something new? How do we know that in six months you became godlike if there is no other video?
Who are you to act like a dick and criticize people's game play? You don't know Madzin nor have you probably even played him. Who are you? What have you won? Why should anyone value your opinion over what we have actually seen out of Madzin. Blame the lag all you want, I'm sure all the disrespect just fuels Madzin's fire and makes him want to prove all of you trolls wrong.

I criticize what I see. In the video which is here I clearly see that he played very unsafe, thats all. He claims to be a way much better at the moment then why there is an old video which shows jumps jumps jumps and jumps. There is nothing to excite cuz many people play in such a way.

OMG that video is old and crap just look at the date...you guys gotta be kidding me for some you that claim to be "high-level" worthy, you don't seem to have the intelligence to realize people who have fundamentals can learn "high-level" tricks and gimmicks in like a month. Everyone was blowing up formerly known RM_xSMoKEx as a online player who can't perform in an offline tourney and the only person that was able to beat him in his FIRST offline major was REO, with tremendous struggle. High-level play shows when you see how intelligent is the player and how creative is their strategy and mind games that they play; every other excuse is trivial.

Just a slightly above average player.....
I hope he can make it I'd love to see the difference between his noob in person and what I've played in the past vs D .R.

Madzin..you dont owe these bitches shit! Everyone had the same opportunity you did to sign up and play this tournament. You won, and theyre jealous. Heres the real truth about people bitching about online players...theyre scared of them! All i heard the first tourny i went to was "oh, your an online player?, its gonna be hard to make top 8 then." I made top 8 with zero problems! If it wasnt for a run in with the great Quan(Dink) I would of made it further..hell, I almost had him! Ive said from day one that half the players i run into online are as good or better than guys winning majors. The only problem is this community is fucking broke and never has money to go anywhere! I promise you that if the top online players showed up to every tourny they would have ZERO problem holding there ground. People seem to forget that if you can beat great players online with lag that you can beat even better players offline without it.

ITS ONLINE. You know what that means? Jumping = unpunishable. Maybe it's a strategy as opposed to a bad tendency, which you are so quick to discredit him for. Madzin was the first person I played in the original online tournament and his setups with Noob were unparalleled. I had no answer, I think he deserves to prove himself at Dallas.

Top 5 at RBR, i'm not scared of any online players. But offline players... i'm shaking just thinking about it.

POWER OF FEAR
This is ridiculous lol, no one can truly say Madzin will do bad at MLG Dallas. He is a beast. Mine and Madzin's first set, even though I won, it could have gone either way, it was very close, but the 2nd set, I had his number...There is one small thing about it though that most of you do not get...It was ONLINE...Meaning if we played offline, he might destroy me, no one can make that call. I honestly can't say one way or the other, but discrediting the guy before he has a chance to prove himself is just being ignorant.

In the first tournament, he fought an uphill battle already being in Loser's Bracket because he was late, and not only did he not lose 1 set, but he beat reo to win the tournament and reo had no answer for him. Yes, this was online, but I say that accomplishment alone deserves respect and in my opinion, no one should doubt this guy until we see him play in an offline tournament.

What a lot of people do not understand is just because someone is a top online player, it does not mean they are not a top player offline player as well. I was just an online player to a lot of people, then I got to MLG Raleigh, and not only do I place Top 16, but I destroyed Kevo 3-1, which is something other top players have failed to do in the past. Online players are doubted way too much.

I find it funny people are lashing out on Madzin when he

A. Did nothing wrong

B. Is the most bad ass Noob ever

C. Beat reo in a 2-8 MU (Online sure but who the fuck has ever beaten REO offline or online in a 2-8 MU disadvantage???????? I havent and chances are neither have the tards bitching about a player they privately envy)

D. Also he made Noob relevant again. Noob forums have increased significantly in activity

As far as "well he's an online player"

Yea let me wake you people up for a second

Perfect Legend, Pig, M2dave, Forever King, 16 bit, reo, detroit, Maxter, Sonic fox, kevo

^^These guys play an ass load online, Maybe you've heard of them cause they placed top 8 at mlgs, evo and won majors. (16 bit not so much anymore but did during his scr reign and top 8 evo days)

GTFO this online offline thing. Without online i would have never placed top 8 once and ive placed top 8 at every major/mlg ive been to

Matix218

Get over here!
I agree with Pig. This guy did nothing but show up for an online tournament and win against other top online players. I understand the complaints about lag but seriously, Madzin has to deal with the lag too. Everyone is making it sound like he is playing on a silky smooth lagless game while his opponent is just lagging to the point that they cant play. Both players have to deal with the lag. I saw his matches with Tyler Lantern in the second tournament also (Props to both players, great matches) and both players were playing very high level, making good reads and punishes and completing their combos. Both players looked very high level (as good as it can be online at least). Also everyone blows madzin up for jumping all the time but again, ITS ONLINE. It is hard to AA unless you basically read/guess that your opponent is going to jump. We all know reactionary AAs are very hard even on a good online connection so why shouldnt madzin jump when he is playing online (and who is to say that he would play the same way offline when he knows that he will get anti aired constantly). Obviously he is smarter than that. I would love to see his Noob and Reptile offline and I hope he gets to compete offline at Dallas. I dont think anyone wouldnt love to see what madzin could do offline, it would add great hype to an already hype event. Maybe he will join the ranks of online warriors like Curbo who went seamlessly to the offline scene and still was a top notch player. Plus madzin plays noob and we have very few noob players at high level (DR, Grolar) and we would all love to see more variety in characters. It was so hype watching DR play noob into top 8 at UFGT and I want to see more people playing the character at high level and seeing what he is truly capable of in the right hands.

Can TYM go back to being an actual "Community" and not a hate fest where every thread gets derailed by hate and insults??

Pig is 100% right. And anyone can watch a video and say "Oh, I would blow all the stuff up that he does", but its easy to see peoples mistakes when you are just watching a video and not playing the person. If the guy who beat Madzin two sets can sit here and say he is bad ass, and he deserves respect and a chance to prove himself offline, then the people who have never played him should be able to do it also. Anyone who does not is just sitting behind their computer waiting for something to complain about. YES, he did have some delay since he lived in Germany, but the stuff he did with Noob was nothing short of godlike, delay or not. I admit, even I was salty when he barely beat me in the first tournament and complained of his delay, but no one can deny his skill with Noob. Show this guy some respect or simply gtfo of this thread.

I think I speak for most of us when I say we are all tired of the guys who constantly down talk great players, but never do anything great themselves. They are simply known because of their talent for trashing anything more skilled than them.

As an online player i have a couple things to say on the subject. Playing in lag is a skillset all on it's own, and you'll notice that us online players have a reaction talent you can't find in most offline guys. You knock us for or jumping habits, but don't realize that we've mastered playing in the air. Sure there are people who can anti-air like no other, but just like every character has bad much ups, so does every player. We all have a style, the real talent in these games is adapting yours to every setting possible. My point in all this is that Madzin shows a capability to adjust that is beyond godlike. Those of you that think that just because he jumps he couldn't possibly do well in a major couldn't be more wrong. I'm calling Madzin top 8 right now, assuming he makes it. As much salt as i have towards the guy, i have twice as much respect. Which is more than 90% of you can say anybody has for your MK talent.

Jesus Christ dude...this is why i hardly ever come on this site anymore. Offline prima donnas that havent proved shit in a year talking shit about online players instead of looking at it like a way to build the community. You would think by now people would realize that this is why MK always has a small turn out at these tournaments. Keep talking shit...eventually there will be no one left to give a shit about you and your pathetic clan

Hey Madzin ! If you do make it to Dallas I got your hotel covered. You can stay with me in my suite at the Omni which is connected to the MLG venue. The room is really nice, I don't stink or snore and there is an extra queen bed that is not being used. I will also have an Asus monitor and Ps3 in the room so we can battle n shit. Only reason I got the 2 queen beds was in case there were too many strippers staying in my room but I'll totally sacrifice that for you to come. :)

Dude, i just realized MK is illegal in germany, right? So give this foo a chance to get out to an offline tourny that he cant be doing over there. on OBS this week MK Dan was talking about that, the police literally shut down offline tournaments and confiscate their systems, monitors, etc. Man this guy clearly has a love of the game that's more than a lot of you can say.
