For me, declining means nothing. Nobody is forced to play me. Though when I decline, people rage like crazy.

Some examples:

"declining=scared"
"stop declining fgt"
"y are you scared"
"bunch of decliners"

I want to know what you guys think of declining. Is it a bad thing? Is it something to get mad at?

I only play people I know or want to play. You could be decling cause you're busy, waiting for someone else, getting ready to leave, or simply put just don't wanna play.

When I used to play FG's online a lot, I would get mad if someone didn't play me at least 5 games. Winning one then leaving has always been a shitty thing to do. However there's exceptions with lag, or if the skill gap is really big also of course if you have something to do, lol.

Exactly, I may be chatting with someone and when someone intervenes with challenging me I just decline to continue chatting. Nothing to rage about.

I personally don't care about anything religion based, though I can understand how 666 can be a problem with certain people. 420 and 69 are just dumb though.

not at all, if I'm playing in player matches, I just wait, if they say yes, I'll say yes until I have to go or someone I know wants to play with me. Hell I even "decline" ranked matches if their record is insanely bad. They probably care more about their W/L record than I do. I play this game for a challenge and a good match not because I want to use someone for a punching bag and have a pretty record. Also a poor connection isn't worth playing so I'll stop playing someone as well if there's tons of delay or the screen is choppy.

If someone decline cuz bad connection its ok .... But I hate it when someone decline cuz I got negative record ( I play only good players and idc for stats ) And some guy with like 4/5k wins / 1k loses decline but I know he probably sucks and got this record by playing noobs lol

If you message me about trying to learn the game then yes i will take you in and take some L's to help you learn. Other than that if your a noob you're on you gotta find someone else to play.

Yes, you should feel terrible, everyone knows that online is the only true test of skill. If you can't beat "IpUnNoObs!42069666." and his god like 111, teleport, xray Scorpion how the hell do you think you will get anywhere in this game? Oh so the only reason you lost it because your inputs came out an hour later? you need to level up....

When I used to play Player matches, I would only decline if they had shit-ass records or I had an unenjoyable experience with them before.
I've also gotten those "y u scared" messages before as well.
Yeah, I'm real scared of the guy whose 100/600. -_-

Like you have played maybe around 2k matched but only won like 800 that is bad to me. I usually only play people I know from the forums, or people who catch my eye for some reason be it there name, or a challenge from a respectable W/L. I mean I have 1328/835. I know I'm not amazing, and my play style takes a good bit of risk. Plus I play the game like it should be played in even online. So I figure others shouldbe able to do it too even by taking advantage of online. I have played you before I can respect your W/L plus you're from here

For me it would be like these people I run into in ranked (which is what I mostly play unless with friends) so there's no factor like "well maybe they always just played good players" because there's alot of shitty people in ranked. But these ones that are like 50 wins and 300 losses. What am I going to gain from playing that match other than watch the person get pummelled.

so you would probably decline vs me cuz I got 3k/near 5k -,-

but what I can do , i got most loses when i was noob at the game ... i cant erease it

I've been thinking about this too, as I tend to only accept ones with positive win records. I don't do it out of "I'm too good for you." it's more just "I want a challenge." (Even that sounds cocky) However, I will play if they've played over ~500 matches. Chances are they like the game, so they're stickin' it out to get better. I also play people who: are on forums, have an interesting name, and bronies.

I also dislike "420" "69" and "666", chances are they're 13 year olds or think they're cool, or have "swag"
