He's announced that he's not going to play again because he got too many complaints like "why's a german guy playing, he shouldnt be in here," and so on.
There wasn't any rules that said he couldn't enter because he was German, so imo its fine with me.
Personally, I wish he hadn't, but thats because I'm not an online player, so having to deal with lag is something I'm not used to. I did my best to get through it, and then just gave up after I got to Madzin. To be quite honest, there is no disrespect on my side. Like I said, I think the guy is not bad, but because of the conditions of the match, it was pointless. I played it because I was a good sport, otherwise I would have just said, "advance him."
I would love to play Madzin sometime. I just wont do it online, and I think I have a great reason for that too.
I wouldn't be mad if players in Germany didn't want to play me in an online tournament where they have to pay $10 to enter or money is on the line.
Whatever the case, I respect all MK players. I just don't respect the netcode.
I personally didn't care that he played, I think people assumed though that since PSN is region locked that it would be USA only, and really the only problem is that he's in Germany, which would lag more for people in the US / CAN.
In terms of lag.

I'm positive my ^ keyboard drawing here is not 100% accurate, but you get the point.
