In this circumstance, these people leave or get better. Either way, keep doing what you're doing, because in the end you win.

Start doing babalitys ;)
Some times I tell them how I win like tell them what I was lookinging for. If the're freaking out just pop the blue pill in their water bottle then after put the red one under their tongue.

I can't count how many times people rage quit on me online and then call me a spammer. It's like jeez, if you see me spamming the same moves over and over, then you should be able to counter them easily, no? But these fools refuse to think logically. Really rustles my jimmies.

As a Kenshi player I feel you. People that cry "spammers" pretty much do the same thing except in their mind it's "different" when it's a combo done over and over again.

I hear ya. I hate the Kenshi match up (I use Mileena), but I'll never complain about spam. I relish the opportunity to learn the match up.

The only times I've ever been called a scrub in my life were online when I've absolutely destroyed someone in Counter Strike while using an "inferior" weapon. The other time, maybe by some emo boi in UMK3 kaillera with a huge ego, that first found out about the game through XBL.

If this dude is exhibiting such behavior, the one in charge needs to walk up to him and give him a choice: either man up and improve or never come back there again. It makes fellow players uncomfortable and that's absolutely unacceptable.

They have to learn from experience, not from being coddled. Way of the fighting game world, dude.

Try hanging out on gfaqs for a few minutes. It's downright heartbreaking lol.

You can try to talk them into being better players, but it will just turn into an argument. Pearls before swine, or however the saying goes. Option two is slightly more promising. Offer to teach them. I've placed bets and argued over who could better teach a scrub lol. And by scrub I don't mean someone who is just new or not very good yet. I mean the people who are deliberately making up their own rules (zoning is boring, Mileena's d4 is unfair, Kratos should be the best character in the game) and that kind of thing.

They'll either take you (or whoever you're bidding on them for) up on the offer or have no choice but to suck it up. I mean, you tried. You've already put in more effort than they ever will.

We had a cat like this in out scene for a bit. We are a small scene, actually kinda floundering since school started for everyone :( (im the old man) anywho, He would get SO salty over not so much losing, but his own inputs I guess. It was weird, because the rest of us are really chill. So we had kinda taken turns playing him, whooping his ass while kinda coaching him as to why he was getting blown up and that in casuals he's not there to impress us but to get better. At first, we got the "I know man, I know but this, but that" type stuff. But he eventually came around. He just had to be show through play and words that no one is gonna take it easy on him, and he may get trolled, but in the end we're here to level up. It was kinda like a tough love thing....look man, if you wanna level up, thats fine, we will help...but you can't be getting all crazy and shit...(this came from the home owner)...that choice will usually give them what they need to decide; stay, or leave. Personally, I do not understand individuals who cannot lose and when they do proceed to get angry in a physical manner. It's alright to be salty sometimes, it happens to all of us, but acting out is completely unacceptable. If you're part of a local gaming community, you're surrounded by individuals who share the same interest as you. Win or lose, you're all there to have a good time and engage in something you love doing.

Everyone involved in a local community (including the person mentioned in the initial paragraph) should be grateful they are surround by talented players who can really help elevate their game. If the means to becoming a better player are available to you, why not use them and try to level up.

You can simply take this person aside and just explain to him that no one is here to gloat or look down on others, you just want to have fun and learn off of each others skills. If he still doesn't get it and continues to act in the same manner, then mention this to the individual who runs the establishment and perhaps he will warn or expel him.

Get on that hook
You can't. Mentality is an opinion, and you can't teach opinion or else you'll end up like Hitler or religion(come @ me).

But if you've seen American History X(featuring M2Dave) or Gran Torino, you can see that opinions CAN change. But that's not up to you. It's up to that person.

How to approach people like that? Best thing to do is just keep calm and win. If people are watching, more than likely they will want to imitate the guy winning, not the guy losing. In this specific case, I would have patronized the shit out of him with the most condescending tone I could muster. Also some trolling on top, like saying "jab" everytime I jabbed.... extra salt.

That made me laugh a lot for some reason, might start doing that when I go over my friends house and play.

Like Juggs said, I woulda fucked with him. If he wants to act like a jackass then treat him like one.
It's even better when you beat them with some really simple, easy-to-counter shit(I don't play Tekken, so I dunno if you did something like that), this way you can tell them how simple it was and that they fell for it due to their lack of knowledge and ability.
And that point you tell them to learn the game and it would no longer be an issue.

I almost got physically harmed at an arcade back in the mk2 days. I was using Rayden's RH in the corner. So I said "This game is about beating one another. Go ahead, pick Rayden, I'll teach you how to do that." so I teach the guy how to do it in 1st round winning myself, 2nd round letting him win. Third round he tries to sell it, I teleport, corner him, rh again.
"Dude you're cheap!!"
"Okay, I'll pick Kung Lao, you pick Rayden."
Security had to protect me when I 1hitted the poor guy.

Essentially this. Don't be afraid to belittle people that are over inflated.

Well it looks like that is gonna have to happen next time, lol. I was told that he said "I play with Honor I don't do the same boring things over and over" when I left.
