You can get like double/triple the amount of players if you donate to USA players instead of EU, so yeah that's why it matters where are THEY FROM, it's not irrelevant.

Insuperable needs to go. He's america's Quan Chi and I don't believe he can afford to go right now. I think we should put up a donation for him.

which is why the donations should be made for them,if they miss the tournament they still only need 200,if the guys miss the tournaments they still probably won't be able to save enough for the next one without help.

Agreed, Insuperable placed 9th at MLG Raleigh. He is a top player now ,and surely deserves to go himself.

I'm not saying that it's been said they're undesirable nor am i saying the US players have no need of donations,i'm saying that it's much easier financialy for a US player to attend a tournament and that the point of a donation which is based on saving up if you can't go and if that doesn't work you ask for donations becomes obsolete due to the fact saving up doesn't work anymore if the donations don't happen.

One thing i've been wondering,how does anyone say "we" donated when they themselves haven't donated and the ones who did still support a UK/GR continuation of donations except a few,like you?I understand your point but you're in the minority of donators i believe.

come on not even a dollar?. i really want to see foxy play again not because he is from europe but because he is easily one of the best mk9 players and this could be the last major.

Just a little disclaimer first and foremost: My stance would be the same if American players were looking to get out to a major in another continent too.

If Texas was more local to these guys I'm sure they wouldn't need to ask for help to get there. They're all busting their asses off trying to make this happen as it is, Hidan, Metzos and Foxy had to pass on our recent European major because they knew they wouldn't have been able to afford going to i46 AND MLG. Starcharger himself said it best "I'd rather have 10 seasoned players than 50 lousy players". Yet, now all of a sudden you wanna cheap out on a bunch of local jabronies that are bound to go 0-2 just for the sake of getting 128? Thus further increasing the chances of "the same old top 8" everyone apparently frowns upon seeing?

I'm not putting anyone on blast here, just the point at hand is that a little help from everyone goes a long way. Just look at EVO. If you don't want to donate, you don't have to, and I personally would much rather it be left at that than everyone coming up with a bunch of reasoning that doesn't add up at all.

This time metzos and hildan will be coming, it will be super hype to have the europeans here again, at EVO these guys went through a lot and they weren't playing 100% , ryan and jake were busy with the filming too, foxy had a seizure and ended up in the hospital while ketchup mustard and UFG were taking care of him, they didn't have plenty time to rest or train, this MLG will be big for our community and it will be great if we can help to bring them here, if everyone on these forums donate something we can make this happen they deserve a second chance, lets make mlg dallas our biggest success. btw, can i get the link for the donation drive please?

Having Metzos and Hidan come to Dallas would be hype as hell.

Also, I am under the impression that we will be making a list of names and the amount they plan to donate in the thread link listed at the bottom of this article. From there, once the donation amount is gained and confirmed, we then actually send our donations.

i fully understand where everyone is coming from, i appreciate its not a cheap task and im very much expecting the drive to not raise a huge amount, but this isnt demanding money, were simply saying if you wanna put a bit in to help us out, you can.

Yeah that's what I was curious about before committing to anything, but I'd be willing to donate £40 (which I believe is about $60 or so).
