I'm trying to go to as many fighting game community forums, and other places to let them know about this tournament among others. Some didn't even know MK still had a competitive scene (Kinda figured) until I introduced them to this site.

Everyone who can make it please do, and invite as many of your friends as possible. Hey even if you have XBL friends who live in that area, at least mention it to them.

I will be trying really hard to go and will let you know if I can make it all the way out there. Good Luck guys and hope this turns out well.

ok, just wanted to officially say that i will be driving my whip, i just spent $500 on preventative maintanence, good thing too because i needed a whole new axle and some other shit. so, 1 obstacle out of the way.

Phil (9.95) im gonna call you this week, we should meet up on kaillera for some mk2 and umk3. i cant F'ing wait for this event!

I'm down for some online MKII/3 this week if anyone else is down. I need to reinstall XP on my windows partition... win2k on my only windows machine does not like my Hori Pad, the drivers only see 2 input buttons.. hooray!

I still haven't tried firing 2df up inside a qemu virtual machine, but I'm betting it would run poorly... If I can scare up some free time tonight I will get windows back up on this laptop, and baby Jesus will cry.

Those 7 game series are just warmups , need an hour solid on that game to get the groove on . At least I can say im up on you on umk3 and mk2, SF on the other hand ,I got no chance:)

I cant wait to dust you guys using an analog stick and some sticky buttons on a shitty xbox360 controller. OR I can just take the time to learn on a stick which i plan doing this time round :D

Awesome... this brings the count with you up to a confirmed 13, and with your 5 guys, 18. If all 9 come... that's 22 players for UMK3.

I'm pretty sure more people are planning on playing in it... at least 2 more that I know of, but I have to get their names from someone. I know MKvids is planning on being there and said to me he will prob. play MK2 but not UMK3, and that Joe(iloveu) will prob. try MK2. Not sure about SweetJohnnyCage for sure, but he said he's prob. in for UMK3, but might try MK2. I also don't know about Longislandmk's friends and whether they'll play MK2 or not... so we def. have a chance of 10+ players.

8 players would be remarkable for an MKII tournament, I'd say shoot for that lol.
