Tried to get on to play you yesterday KM, but my xbox crashed. Just sent it in to get it fixed, not sure exactly what's wrong with it. Won't be able to get on for about 3 weeks now :(. Go ahead and give KM the win.

Honestly it diden't mean much anyway in a best of 3 format, that's just not enough games to really count. My mistake! Just wanted this thing to move quickly but wow that backfired, it's been like what 3 weeks now? lol

If there's a next time, it should be first to 5 or even first to 10. Maybe we can also work out some sort of regional brackets (East, Midwest, West) and everyone agree on a timeframe for the tourney BEFOREHAND so everyone will be able to play.

Can a mod close this?

I agree with everything you just said. First to 5, or even 10 sounds great (lol best of 19). Also, about the brackets...location isn't too much of an issue, as long as the opponent isn't on a different continent than you. I think luxton was the only person who had overwhelming delay. Time frame before hand looks good on paper but I don't know if that will be as easy to work with as you are thinking. Anyways, when we do another maybe I'll help.

Dude Honestly, it was bad timing with xboxs crashing, people out of town, but mostly you failing to enforce it. You needed to put in some deadlines, and Enforce them with penalty of being DQed.

How is it Darx's fault? He took the time and energy and organize a tournament...he isn't a babysitter, people are capable of having 3 games within 2 or 3 days, hell, most people that play on here have hundreds of games each week. While I agree it was alot of bad timing, vacations, xbox crashes (sorry Mane), and what have you...it isn't Darx's fault in my opinion.

The best way to get a tourney to work would be to have it be an all day thing where participants would be required to meet up in this site's chat at a specific time and then get the matches done from there. If someone wasn't there at that agreed upon time theyd be out. Problem solved. The whole thing would get done really quickly and none of this other problematic shit would occur.

If the last few tourny's have been any indication, it's apparent that conflicting times, laziness, real life and poor luck slow these things to a halt after the initial buzz they get in the beginning. It's not Darx fault really though it isn't anyone else's really either. You give people enough rope and then are surprised when they end up choking themselves with it.
If there is another tournament I say we do it the way I suggested.

Also, GameOver is right, the best way to do it would be setting a date reasonably in advance and have everyone go to chat on here and have the whole tourney ran in 1 day

best episodes always have the laughtrack clapping when kramer appears lol. on my local channel im getting the bizarro jerry episode as we speak :D</spamming>

as an outsider looking in i also agree with a 1-day preference. dq's come swift and easy on ignorant participants and shit actually gets done lol. but i guess when shit comes up like on call work or a death in the family what u gonna do huh?

haha fuckin sick shit right lmao. tell u what man, they couldnt have a worse series finale huh? oh well, i will own all the dvds someday im halfway there. :)

I have the dvds from the first two seasons. Definitely my favorite show.

A point about gameover's idea...all day? How many days to most of us have to soley dedicate to mk? Fuck, we'd have to plan it at least a month in advance. Other than that though it sure would be a fun day!
