Amazing, hats off.
Thanks, shit sure aint easy! But I'd do it all over again if I had to.
P.S. One of my favorite quotes is from Berserk, bolded for emphasis: "This fight... it is far from over. We are the generals. Protect her while I attack.
I am the raiding party, I will destroy the enemy camp."
Nice Ninja, did you do the P90X? Or something different?
Nope, I've never done P90X but I have no doubts it's quite effective if you have the willpower/motivation to get through it! For me, I was told 5 years ago by my doctor that my current way of life (at that time) would likely result in my death before the age of 60. He put it quite bluntly:
"If I were a betting man I would put my money on it in fact. You're barely in your 20s and I would have guessed double that based purely on data."
That was quite the wake up call, so I decided to get my butt into gear. My first year all I did was diet and do outdoor activities 3-4 times a week and dropped just shy of 100lbs off myself and got super skinny but had little to no definition. I was what they call "skinny fat." So I hit up the gym and started eating big and trying to put on actual muscle. Did that for about a year straight and gained about 50-60 lbs in total. I was obviously much stronger but again lacked any real definition and was starting to look fat again. In my third year I started cutting again except I kept doing high intensity lifting this time and was able to see my abs for the first time in my life by the 4th month. =)
Ever since then I've been going through bulking/cutting cycles routinely and my progress hasn't really slowed at all. It's basically just become a way of life. And now my doctor tells me if I keep this up I could easily keep walking well into my 80s or even 90s. =)
