Pig, Rain's b+2,1+2 and b+2,3 isn't a mix up. It's fuzzy guardable. Gesyer Kick is rather slow and unsafe on block. Hardly an "up ball" to say the least. Rain is currently high mid tier at best. Even with the high damage output.

Dang Ermacs gonna be THAT low?

everyone has raiden so high. I never see anyone dominate with him in tourneys tho. is there a reason for
this or are we over rating this character. also once the new patch comes out sub will most likely
rise because his super armor slide will help his bad matchups.

PR Rog did fairly well at UFGT7 or was it ECT I can't remember it. JOP also got pretty far at PDP with Raiden. The difference being PR Rog abused the heck out of the teleport and hit confirmed f+2,4 linked into electric fly perfectly. Since then Raiden's natural launchers aren't + on block anymore.

This just cannot be right. I can't see Stryker in the same class as Sonya and Ermac

Just going off the numbers currently in the grid. Once it is filled in, just a few left, we can discuss matchups and get it all right.

Sonya being so low is lulz to me, as is Ermac and Liu.

Btw, I mentioned this earlier...are we gonna use .5s? I don't see why not. The accuracy of all the matchups become better in the long run...there's some matches that don't feel like they fit a higher or lower number, but rather the half point.

ermac can zone him out for most part - i think its 5-5

Yea .5 is a good idea I wanted to do that for my sindel list like i feel sektor is more like 5.5-4.5 in his favor over sindel.


Looks like I'm going to be reading up the Sonya combos now. Hopefully some one has decent simple ones for me

There was also only one Kung Lao in the top 8 ... That's not the best argument. Also, his Cage is better than his Raiden. That's obvious just from watching the videos. I just don't think anyone actually mains Raiden ... -_-

Superman is a risk everytime, he loses sometimes up to 40% just for throwing it out. His projectile sucks. He has no real mixup up close.

Quote me on this all day, but I'd MUCH rather fight a KL/Raiden than a good Reptile/Kabal/Cyrax/Kitana, all day everyday. The last 4 chars hit like a truck and you CANNOT make a mistake against. Raiden is just rinse and repeat, it's a boring match but he can be beaten. KL? People need to actually learn his mixups are good up close, he has answers for everything yes, but you have WAY more opportunities to make mistakes and punish mistakes cause his damage is nerfed now. Pre patch is a different story haha

He is top tier, just because he's not being used by a lot of tournament goers doesn't make him not a high tier. Top players just rather use other characters over him. That's the beauty of this game that the majority of the cast can compete in high level Tournaments, look at reo and what he did with mileena at evo.

Technically, Cyrax has won a major, as Michaelangelo won Hadocon using Cyrax in the grand finals.

And Kabal and Reptile do not hit in the 40s outside the corner. Kabal struggles to even make 30%.

Kabal has the best rushdown and reset in the game. And Cyrax getting 70% off of 1 bar is just silly. Should not be in the game, but it is so he has to be top tier. IMO, by and far the most brainless char in the game.

In the end it's entirely opinion. There is nobody in this game that as a fact, this char is the best or this is the worst. I might be one of the few people who think Raiden is slightly outside the top 5 and I'm ok w/that. I'm at least glad NRS did such a good job so we can have debates like this

I dunno if I'd call Hadocon a major if there were only about 16 ppl in it. Hell even NCR only had 50 or so entered. Norcal has no scene. Michaelangelo got to be that good in spite of that. More props to him.

I actually kinda agree that mil, kabal, kit and smoke would give Kung Lao issues.

Oh good so I'm not crazy lol When I play I tend to play kits and smokes often and they give me such a hard time when I'm Lao.

I hear he also thinks Kung Lao is not a high tier character. I think he is trolling, so NRS does not nerf his character. LOL.

I do agree that Kitana is Kung Lao's hardest match. That is about it, though.
