Bbq and games at xanadu this coming Saturday. This is their big tournament day, so if people want to play in an mk tournament, attend and bring people out with you, and bring a setup or two.

Does anyone think they can give me a ride starting in September? I go to UMBC which I mapquested is 10 minutes away from this place. I don't have a car but I really want to help create a MK scene in Baltimore

UMBC's game room was where most of the Xanadu people went to play games before Xanadu existed.

I would say go to the game room and do some networking. Bring an MK setup and play it there. Invite people who are watching to join you. Tell them about Xanadu and the fighting game community. Show them Evo stuff. Show them Xanadu weds night streams. Get them interested. More likely than not, one of those new players will have a car. Problem solved, and then some.

Wow really? I never knew that. I went into the gameroom several times when MK was out to see if anyone was playing, but everyone was playing MvC3. I didn't have my 360 and stuff at my dorm so I couldn't hook anything up. This semester though I'm going to just plant my ass there and play MK and hopefully people will join in.

Assuming everything goes well, I think I can go to Xanadu every Wed. starting in September.

Damnit... on bad news I probably won't be able to go again until the week after Summer Jam.

On a brighter note though, I just ordered an ASUS monitor... so the next time I go there will be a guaranteed MK setup.
