Lex I have a question, how many games do you say you played in a 1 year back in the 90's, or whenever you played UMK3 alot? Or, how many games would you say you've played altogether?
thats like asking chuck norris how many chest hairs he has

well, 5 days a week i would at least be up in the 200's, if i worked sat and sunday (which i would) then there would be more games, so 1400/wk*52 = 72,8000.

edit: man what the fuck ive almost played that game a million times

200 a week? So around 10,400 + a year x 10 = 104,000 -/+...?

That's alot of games. So by your standards I've been playing this game for 2.5 years. (Competitvely of course)

I really don't have a point, just wanted to know :)

EDIT: If my math was incorrect than I guess I read your post wrong.

He played 200 matches a day 5 days a week approximately when the game was big, all on cab.

Isnt that like 13 hours a day? Approximately 4 minutes a game would equal 13 hours, 10 hours a day would be 3 minutes a game, 7 hours a day would be 2 minutes a game.

DAMN!

More like 1.5 minutes a game average, even a lot of matches can go 1 minute total.

Your point is? I have also been playing this game since I was a knee high and I am still shit at it, the only reason I got better was because I came to this site to learn.

Next time could you please stick to the topic and not tell me what you think I think. I do not think EVERYONE is predictable, if you can quote me saying that then I will eat my hat.

I realise now that reptile deserves his spot because his invisibility is a massive advantage, my housemate has been practicing with him a LOT recently, especially turning invisible and staying invisible. With certain characters I just couldn't find him and he would laugh his arse off. A good character against reptile is reptile, the dash seems to be one of the most effective moves to find him, even though it is easily blocked and the force balls are great too since you can zone most of the lower part of a stage. Its risky though as they take far too long to release. Reptile is a beast...

BTW, what are the most axes nightwolf can do in a combo? is it 3? I know that if your shang you can GE, then turn into NW and get loads of axes. How many are possible with shang? Any tips on getting the last axe or two to connect? is it just a run cancel or do I run cancel, aaHP, axe?
I wasn't even talking to you, dipstick. I was talking to lex.

My advice to you would be to ask more questions in this thread as opposed to sharing "knowledge".

Most axes i've ever seen nightwolf do off a ground combo is 4. In the air, off Shang Tsung errupt (or in other scenarios) you can many more. To achieve more axes you need to run at the lat second, right when it starts to recover, and hit the last axe or two. If you're doing the aaHP, axe, then you need to cancel the hp, not do it before the hp.

MK11 Kabal = MK9 Kitana
Actually, UMK3 Kabal is MK3 Kabal, but with "lesser" damage combos, and w/ no PS/KS.
No PS/KS, but a grounded spin he still gets 40% from his b&b combo in MK3. They made his ground combo do 10% less in UMK3 to compensate for using PS/KS so he actually does more damage in MK3.

You can also combo his ground saw after a hphpDhp combo then run in and get an aahp, jk, afb near the corner ... very difficult but doable. LOL

YES! I remember that combo.

Now that I got Mame now, I have been going back to MK3 (for shits and giggles) and man, I think I like using Kabal more in MK3 than UMK3. Same with Subbie. Crazy ass clone & re-clone combos, man, lol.

Imagine how fun MK3 would be w/ PS/KS.:D:D:D

Wow, now I don't feel like such a shitty Reptile Player when I can't infinite for the life of me.
Reptile infinite definitely helps him vs Human Smoke, because if you can in fact master it vs male ninjas, that means it's one big mistake for Human Smoke and it's over, vs 2 small mistakes for Reptile. In general, it makes teleporting a lot less available for him because it is that much more risky, but teleporting in general and teleporting as counters to forceballs are what Reptile needs to contend with. Invis will facilitate the potential for bad teleports, or inhibit teleports due to risk potential, of course depending on the player. The only other thing he has to worry about vs him is low air throws, so Reptile should try to start on the ground, which is where he should be anyway. The practicality of Smoke's harpoon's properties, and creating guaratneed combos in situations with little risk is part of what seperates him from Ermac.

Oops sorry, I didn't realise you were having a private conversation, my bad for thinking this was a forum. ;)

So with NW's axes after shang's GE, to get a few or more in a row should I be doing this? -> axe,run cancel, axe, run cancel,etc...
or should I be aaHP'ing as well?

ur an idiot dude. I said something DIRECTLY to Lex. It was not some general, wishy-washy statement for everyone to comment on. You respond to it like I was talking to you, and then make this dipshit ass comment when I call you out!

You irritate me more than anyone here; you never know what you're talking about, no matter what it is. You're also terrible at umk3 and I've seen you give advice before...hahaha

No it's just taking a run step with the axe motion, D, F+R, release R, HP
I doubt Skateblind will understand this. To make it REAL simple so you don't go asking for any more videos, you do the motion for the axe, right, but you don't press the hp. Instead, hold the forward (of the down+forward motion) until nw actually takes a few steps forward, then press the hp for the axe. You don't need the run button for three axes on the large characters, so just forget about that until you can get it done on the easier, bigger characters.

That's three axes for the ground combo. You run button is needed much more in the ge combo, thought I'll bet 4 or 5 is possible without using it.
