This thread is for us Indiana players to get connected. If you live in Indiana (or are even visiting or plan to visit) and want to talk tournaments, events, or meet up for some offline play feel free to post. I look forward to hearing from you! Also feel free to post if you are interested in organizing a local tournament.

I just moved up to Muncie from Nashville TN and I know no one up here (besides my girlfriend, and she doesn't play...). I'm like an hour outside Indianapolis. I'm pretty much limited to online play or single-player, neither of which are going to help develop my game very well, so if anyone is interested in meeting up for some offline play I'm definitely down. I'm very interested in any Indiana tournaments so if you have any information I would love to hear about it. Thanks!

Also, my girlfriend and I have our own apartment with a 42'' plasma and enough space to comfortably seat around 12 to 15 people. I am totally willing to lend my space to any local players looking for a good offline match, tournament training, or to help put together any local tournaments. I'm sure once Ball State goes back into session we'll see a lot of good competition sweep back into Muncie.

Heya :)

I"m from Terre Haute Indiana, and we have a Lan center here that hosts tournaments every month or so for many different genres (FPS's mostly.) I used to work there, so I kind of have a little influence over the tournaments. I've been trying to get more fighting game tournaments going for MK9, MVC, SF4:AE, etc etc. The problem is there isn't really a scene in Terre Haute(that I know of) that consists of people outside of the lan center. And the people that attend the center, are afraid of competition.

The center is http://www.ebash.com/ if you are interested, I know there is another MK9 tournament coming up within the next month or so. There is usually a pretty small turn out for fighting games ( around 5-10) but I guess that's better than nothing? haha.

I live in Evansville and would love to come on up for a tourny if you'll let me know when the next one is. There's and ebash here in Evansville too so ill swing by there and see if they do Mk tournys.

I'm from Whiteland (Slightly south of Greenwood which is south of Indy about 15 minutes) if you guys get together an official tourny let me know, I'd try my best to make it and bring my cousin with me.

I live near Clinton! I'd love to get a local scene started. I have a sparring partner from here as well.

Hey everyone. I'm new to TYM, and to fighting games (MK9 is my first since, well, MK1). I live in Greenwood/south Indy. Would love to meet someone to play offline (online lag is killing me!)!

Hey guys, A.R.K. IV is coming up September 17th-18th in Jacksonville, AR! I know we're not exactly super close, but some areas of your state are at a reasonable distance from our venue. We have some people driving 8-12 hours to get here, so I hope at least some of you guys are willing to drive less than that to come out!

We are expecting ~200 people with games such as SSF4:AE, SF 3S:OE, Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, Mortal Kombat 9, Melee, Brawl, BB:CS II, and more! Competitors are coming in from at least 6-7 several states to compete!

Note that our tournament is working on securing sponsorships from well known companies which will each be providing additional prizes and bonus pots for our tournaments. The Traveling Circus has expressed interest as of this time. Also, well-known regional modder DaRabidDuckie will be on hand to provide dual mods (PS3 <-> 360) for fight sticks.

If you have ANY questions, please PM me or post on the official tournament thread here: http://testyourmight.com/forum/showthread.php?10231-ARK-IV-MK9-SSF4-MvC3-Melee-Brawl-BB-CSII-More!&p=140733#post140733
I'd normally respond to replies on this thread, but I'm so busy with Med School that I don't have time (though I may check in once in a while if there's interest). Please try to make it and show your support not only for us, but for the regional MK community as a whole. Thanks guys!

I live off of Keystone Ave on the southside of Indy. I can be down to Greenwood/Whiteland in a matter of minutes to play as well. I am a PS3 player.

Good Lord....this will definitely be the largest MK tourney that I've ever been to, from the sounds of it. I won the last one that I went to here in Indy, but there were only a total of eight people....

I hope that I get through a couple of tournament rounds, at least.

Hey guys, it's been a while (about a year), but I'm back! I still live like a block away from Ball State and would like to get something started. I've got a comfortable apartment, 42" plasma, xbox 360, and currently own UMVC3 and Mortal Kombat, though I'm really down for playing/hosting any fighting games. I run a pub trivia business that only keeps me busy Monday and Thursday nights from 7 to 10 (it's the game at Cleo's), leaving me a retarded amount of free time to host free-to-play and tournament format get-togethers. Not only would I love to have a few people over to get in some good matches, but I'd be totally down hosting weekly or monthly tournaments. If you want to try setting something up you can email me at [email protected]. Thanks!

[EDIT] For my setup, it's pretty bland right now, just a single 360 controller. I had one of the SFIV fight-pads, which I loved, but it broke. I'm lucky enough to have been on the Hitbox waiting list for about a year, though, and finally got the email it will be shipping in a week or so, so that should be good. It's one of the PS-360 models, so it will work with pc, ps3, and 360. Also, I'd be happy to give rides to anyone living on Ball State or within a few blocks of campus. Otherwise, my place is about a 15-minute walk.

This thread is about as lively as our state.

Rumor has it there's an offline scene in Elkhart (I'm not far from there) but I've never been.

We have a very small scene (about 7 people or so, myself included) just a few minutes north of Indianapolis. But it's pretty much like Goldfish just said. We are not a happening state by any means.....lol

And our weekly get-togethers are every Thursday night, which you said that you're always busy during that time.

It's still up in the air for me if I'll be able to make it to Season's Beatings (need to see where my finances are at, closer to the event day)

Hope you get healed up soon!
