This thread is dedicated to everyone's favorite MK9 online (ranked) warrior, Parchedtwo529.

He's discovered so much new tech and contributed so much to the Rain community; I feel like he really deserves recognition. Without him, we'd all be way behind not punishing blocked teleports for 27% and neglecting Ex. Lightning on wake-up. How else would we be able to find out that Teleport puts you at +10 frame advantage and that Roundhouse pressure and Ex. Roundhouse's armor is useless.

ParchedTwo, buddy:
You really are the best Rain player around. Better than BookBurning ... better than Smarrgasm ... better than MK Kobra ... better than myself. We admire your many styles and all that you've shown us!

Bodam..... hahahahahahahahah thug love baby. But on a srs note. Without parched pointing out to me that you can actually down poke after blocked strings I would of been in a world of hurt.

oh yeah. the boogeyman checks his closet for chuck, but chuck is never there because he's checking his closet for ParchedTwo529. i mean, i even used the shift button to type his name. gdlk

For those of you who don't know, he is a Rain mainer that Tele's a LOT, Always wakes up with ex lightning, and refuses to RH pressure... or pressure in general.

My computer has no shift button, it was destroyed on a stormy night when ParchedTwo awoke from his slumber (just a nap, actually) with an Ex. Lightning.

He teleports after he teleports, then he teleports some more and he ALWAYS wakes up with an Ex. Lightning...sometimes even just a regular lightning; he told me that Gypsy's had given him the ability to be +15 on block when he does but at the cost of Roundhouse kicks and pressure putting him at -22.

He will be joining the vVv clan with REO and @CDjr soon, he has claimed. Our lord and saviour Parched, without him we would not be punishing Ermac's Telelift with a D+1 and where would we be in the Kenshi match-up? Who would have discovered that we can use Rain's RH stance to armor through certain attacks?

ParchedTwo is a revolutionary and will win every tournament from this point on; so long as he can find someone who can tell him if there's any tournaments in the Georgia area.

That's some solid tech!!!!!

No one can punish teleport, it's waaaaayyyyy too safe. EX lightning is broken, it hits anywhere on screen!!!! And who needs to pressure; not fighting an opponent and using lightning (which is broken and hits anywhere in screen might I add) is fool proof.

Parched is good with Rain, he makes me work when I'm Ermac and Sektor. Not a ton of Rains have done that on Xbox.

Bodam's Rain is up there as well. Props

I was kind of being sarcastic but at the same time punishing it with sonya has got to be easier.

Here is a tip. The above mentioned rain player, after a teleport, is 90% of the time going to do the string 34 into lighting or roundhouse..

Now the teleport becomes more unsafe when going directly into a string with frames. Its safer to block right away. So if you know the 34 is coming just tele lift, you might even beat it out with one of your faster strings into tele lift. Just saying.

Try if when you play a rain who likes teleport into 34, its almost like free damage for you. Mileenas 11 roll works for certain as well, maybe even 4 2 into tele kick, but i don't play mileena a lot anymore so don't quote me.

lol was about to say, of course He can but you have to react FAST, of course online it's harder due to the lag...offline you'd have to be dumb to try it against an Ermac who knows what he's doing.

I just also prefer to bait the hop kick and punish him with a TKS when he kicks nothing lol. Personally, while I give all the credit in the world to Rain players. The character I think isn't top 5 calibur like some folks on here claim he's that good...I use him as a secondary, he's good but not that dominating good imo.

Rain i agree is not top five. He has that armor, but he has no zoning game, and everything he does short of roundhouse and geyser kick is super punishable. IT seems like he has no option but to teleport or work his way in from mid to far distances. Cant tell you how many times i jumped a lighting attempt and got a full combo, seems like an eternity to punish it, and water bubble is so much worse.
