Xbox plays at a better rate than ps3.... there is NO WAY it lags.

The X-Box 360 certainly lags on the character select screen. For example, if the cursor is on Freddy and you tap right to select Rain, the screen takes a while to catch up. So the X-Box 360 lags while the game is not even playing.

FYI, that might be a hard drive issue.

Dude the gameplay doesn't lag. The select screen "lag" is a just it taking longer to load up the character portraits. All of us that play on Xbox can vouch for it. It actually lags less during some stuff like X-Ray's and Liu Kang's EX Bike Kick.

I don't know, but it kept happening, so we replaced all the X-Box 360 systems with PS3 systems at Console Combat because players were complaining.

I don't understand why PS3s are not used when 95% of all major tournaments run MK on PS3.

Presumably because it's a lot easier for the TO to just have to use one type of console for the whole tournament? And yeah, from what i've heard, there's less lag on X-Box actually, not PS3.

This is a really gross double standard. Xbox players have been prepared to play multi-console for years now, but when PS players are asked to make the same concession Xbox players make weekly, they get upset. This kind of entitlement has to go.

Why use 360? Because we decided to run a 360 tournament this year, because nearly every game runs better on 360. Saying that we should use either version (the better or the worse) because 95% or whatever statistic you have is also doing is it asinine. Sorry to come off a bit harsh, but we announced the decision ages ago, and it's really not a leap to ask PS players to simply do what 360 players always have to do.

And this. I'm not an MK player, but this is an issue in MvC3, SSF4, and a variety of other games I play. Not to mention the fact that we had lots of Playstations dying on us during UFGT7, Fighter X Shooter, and I saw it happening at SB last year too.

m2dave, you know i only play on ps3 and I can tell you right now, the actual GAMEPLAY is smoother on the 360. Just saying. Character select screen does lag but it will only affect MasterD when he's trying to counterpick.

Aye, what Dizzy said. I've got a room booked there for the entire weekend. Just follow the links on the 1st page of this thread and see if they still have any rooms available for the UFGT rate of $69 for a King room. (includes a king sized bed and a sofa, I believe).

Edit: Just checked their site because I was curious....looks like they may be out of THOSE rooms, as well. Although, there is a disclaimer saying that their website might be a liar and to just give them a call anyway to confirm.
