I think a couple of you are misunderstanding me. I don't care if someone leaves a game, because it counts as a win. I'm talking about the people that pull the internet when they are about to lose to avoid the loss. I couldn't care less if you leave a game to avoid the fatality, babality, etc.

I've had people pull where it ends up kicking me out, and then I have trouble reconnecting too... so ya I really hate it. I don't like when people quit either, how the hell are you going to learn anything if you quit?

I only quit if the lag is unplayable. If Quan-chi's uppercut won't even come out, then theres a problem.

Hopefully not at the "finish him" part Right at the start of the match I get it, but even if its laggy I personally try to finish the match and then just don't rematch.

Agreed. I started off line that, but then I wired my living room with an ethernet drop. Huge difference.

Everything works great for the 1st match, then when I try to rematch we both pick our characters at the select screen and the game disconnects.
Happens in every type of room and game.
I'm on PS3 wired connection and CRT TV. It's the regular edition but no online code because I just started playing MK9 recently when the online code menu is long gone.
Tried to reinstall and tried with different users, and even with an HD TV. The problem remained.
Any idea how to fix it? Thanks in advance.

Absolutely not I never quit if I get beat. The last time I did it it was halfway through the first round and I couldn't do anything it was so laggy.

If the win goes to the person with the most life, scrubs would just try to get life lead then pull.

It's frustrating when someone quits but all it really means is a quicker win, oh well.

That's true if they just leave. It annoys me still as I want to win with skill (well, as much as possible online), not b/c someone just up and quits.

Disconnects are different, you don't get the win if they do it before you get to "Finish him." You both just get a DC i believe.

No, I've checked, if they quit from the select screen even the win goes to you. A lot of people that have hardly any matches quit after they see I have 3,000 wins. Also, people quit after I flawless them, then we get matched up again, they quit at the select screen. Anyways, I check to see if the win counts and it always does.

If you get a disconnect it means that your own internet dropped out.

While that sounds great to everyone with good connections (me included when I'm not visiting my parents). You can't pull bullshit like that b/c you're basically telling a huge portion of your consumer base "fuck you, you aren't good enough to play our game". Not everyone has access to high end internet and not everyone can afford it if they do. However, if they have purchased the game, they have just as much a right to play online as anyone else that bought the game. These people paid to play the game just like everyone else, let them. If they lag out, so be it. That's there problem, not yours. Just search for another game.

That 2-3 minutes of finding a new match is nothing compared to the bullshit of waiting 15-20 minutes to be allowed to search for matches again (halo: reach has that a punishment for "pulling" but if you have a bad connection, which I used to, you get punished as well) for a game you paid to play.

There's no other fair way to deal with pullers other than to make sure the person who stayed gets the win.

Not trying to start any arguments or such, or be offensive, but there a few things ive noticed in the ladder. Am i the only person who has noticed that there are about 2 or 3 people who are undefeated (not accusing everyone, some people are really good who are undefeated) and every single person they have played has only one game played and it is their loss to them.? It sounds really fishy.I mean some of them are kind of ridiculous because some of the gamertags of the teams the undefeated player has played have extremely similar relations to the gamertag of the undefeated player. And to add on to that, some of the pages of those beaten teams say that the page no longer exists. I could be wrong here, so dont blow me up for this, but has anyone else noticed similar things like this.?
