The PS3 MK servers have been acting weird lately. The official lobbies are now inaccessible and lag has increased twofold.

What worked for me and a lot of other South Africans, try setting your DNS settings to that of Google's DNS servers: 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. Set it either on your router or your PS3 and see what happens.

There seems to be no one online, there are no chat rooms, ranked matches don't connect, there seems to be no one. I live in the netherlands and usually there are a good 50-200 people at any given time in the chat rooms but like I said there aren't even chat rooms to join. Could it be be my connection not being able to connect correctly? Any other european online players having the same problem?

nah,its not just you bro.its been down all day here too (im in uk) it was really laggy all day yesterday aswell,alot worse than usual.shit ive just given away the fact that i spend all day everyday online.hang on,why the hell am i so bad then? lol.

Yea, one room would occasionaly show up. I'd try join, but noyone would be in there. I was like "wtf?" lol

Why not just make it so whoever has the least amount of health/rounds won, loses at the time of a disconnect. Instead of encouraging the baddies to play like cheating idiots. It'll serve the bad players justice AND it'll make the laggy players not want to play.

I guess sometimes it's hard to tell if it's a genuine disconnect or a puller at play...one time was getting blown up with an inch of my life left and it disconnected! I sent messages apologizing to my opponent to let them know pulling wasn't my style. Luckily, though they were understanding lol

Oh I know sometimes it's just a fluke, it's happened to me as well. But I still think it'd be better that way, especially because you were about to lose anyway. I just fought a dude on ranked 4 times in a row and he disconnected every time. His ratio was 6:1 because he just lames it out online. I don't think it's fair to the genuine players...

I support this idea. I've had a bad streak lately with people pulling on me. Its usually obvious as the connection is totally fine and then "oops" just happens to be as they're losing or lost.

If it says, "Game Session No Longer Available" at the Fatality screen 99% of the time it means your opponent quit. You still get credited for the win.

Usually they dont actuall pull. It just so happens that if you press start and "leave game" after the words "finish him" come up on the screen, it will tell the opponent that the game session is no longer available, regardless if you actually pulled or not. And you still get credit for the win regardless.

i dont think that bad players who ragequit care about ranked points.
i also ragequit sometimes, when for example i loose on a shitty connections against a raiden or kunglao or whoever can take advantage of delay, who arent good but win nonetheless, and they do a fatality.
it might seem lame, but just for the record, if i know im beat fair and square i will sit trough fatality or bablity or even teabagging but if i lose against a player who i know dont diserve to win i will deffenatly leave and dont give a fuck.

I think a couple of you are misunderstanding me. I don't care if someone leaves a game, because it counts as a win. I'm talking about the people that pull the internet when they are about to lose to avoid the loss. I couldn't care less if you leave a game to avoid the fatality, babality, etc.

I only quit if the lag is unplayable. If Quan-chi's uppercut won't even come out, then theres a problem.
