Ultimate West Coast Warzone 3!

So, I got the idea from Hugo. Apparently we will have East Coast players, and according to Konqrr, a couple of Utah UMK3 players there.

Please give me a list of War Zone contestants who are willing to make this possible! Then I can do some networking, and try my best to get it hosted!

And for you MKvsDC players. This tournament means more than just a UMK3 tournament. This is supporting the MK-Kommunity get MK to tournaments here on the west coast. So if you play MKvsDC, please help me, support and join UMK3. I will do my best to get MKvsDC there as well, at least for casuals.

If I can get support from you guys, in the future, who knows, maybe even MKvsDC. Please post up and support. This has to be Ultimate West Coast Warzone 3!

If this was to happen, would you fly out here? Or for those who are coming for other games. Please let me know.

The more people I have on this list, the more weight I have to request Mortal Kombat to be hosted.

I know I can't make this tourny. I'll be in recovery from surgery. Soon I'll be able to make my presence known though!

If we can raise enough money to send the cab... maybe WB and NRS could lend some support. I know i know... wishful thinking.

But yes, I'm gonna look into this. I'll bring my camcorder and everything else.

Bone I'll be there bro. Is the tournament a go? If so let me know n I'll book my flight ahead of time. Also where will the tourney be at? The plane will land at Lax? Idk my way around do I need to rent a car? Motel?

Shit, I might just make the trip if I'm not to painful. I wanna play on that thing. You know what bone put me down for POSSIBLE.

Right now, its not a go. I still havent gotten a chance to talk to the organizer, but as soon as I do. I'll let you know.

There are two airports. One close to the tournament, and one at LAX. I'm probably going to end up picking up Tom, so ill see if I can work something out.

As far as hotels go. I was talking with Storms about maybe as a community getting one hotel, and everyone who will fly in, staying at it or something.

But like I said, nothing is confirmed. This is all just speculation, and showing people that UMK3 and MKvsDC does have players, and we are willing to get there and support the scene.

And again, ill let you know asap as soon as I have an answer.

i will def do my damn best to make this tourny. IF I cant, i will gladly help with expenses, like chip in for the room or travel. ima die if i cant make a damn 3hr drive!!!!!

So, im really hoping this happens. Just the fact that its being considered right now makes me really happy. Lets hope we get a spot, we havent had a chance at an MK-Tournament major here on the west coast, since... never...

Guys as much as I want to come,play,support,hang out and have fun I cannot afford it at this moment. I gave it a serious consideration but as for now I do not have stable permanent job that pays enough. One of these days tho, i promise to show up in CA.

Still appreciate the effort. And who knows, its still a month away, if we have some extra money to help players come here. I'll let you guys know.

I really hope this happens for you Bone. Youve been trying hard to get MK to a major tournament on the west coast. The only advice I have is to tell you how Shock and 9.95 did it in the early going.
You have to really show the T.O. three things: 1) That your deadly serious about making it happen.
2) That you have the players. If you can get an 8 to 16 man bracket that should satisfy them for a first time tournament game.
3) That you and your crew are willing to do all the work yourselves. By this I mean supplying all your own setups and stations, moving in,setting up and breaking down yourselves, and running the tournament and brackets yourselves. If all the T.O. has to supply you with is some space and a few tables and chairs, youve just made his job so much easier and made sure your event didnt cause him anymore headaches than he already has running a major tournament.

One other thing. If you can, make nice nice with the T.O. Maybe offer to help run a bracket in SSF4 or something. Id be lying if I said a big part of UMK3's success at Winter Brawl,ECT2,Summer jam and NECXI didnt have to do with Shock,Summoning and 9.95's relationships with Big Eric,Sweet Johnny Cage and L.I. Joe. Because it did.

I'm more than willing to help with anything.

I made a post on SRK about that. I remember I worked hard to get the tournament working at P(N)T, and I will open the school auditorium for gaming casuals very soon.
