Who do you main in SCV?

Dizzy

False Information Police Officer
Elder God
NetherRealm Studios
Mitsu. Don't know how to use anyone else.

Viola, she reminds me of Raven from the Teen Titans and is just overall a really unique character with her crystal ball as her weapon of choice, I always latch onto characters that are very different and accidentally or incidentally aren't considered "super good" characters in ever fighter for some reason.

I'm only decent wih her currently, but that's because I just suck at SCV.

I like Leixia, ZWEI, and Dampierre quite a bit, so I might try them out more in depth too.

I've been playing SCV on and off, been trying to mix in Resident Evil and MK just to be different though.

I'll put more into it after college wraps up this semester:).

I don't have that game, but I've been thinking about getting it... is it as fun as MK9? (Currently the only fighter I play or have played)

If I did I would go with Natsu and Ezio. Ninja and Assassin types. XD

GNG Iniquity

#bufftaquito #punchwalk #whiffycage
As of now, Mitsu. Astaroth and Voldo are my alts. I'd like to main Voldo but I do not have enough extensive knowledge of the game yet to make that happen. Personally, I'd feel dirty playing Nightmare lol

Tira, her personality is absolutlely wonderful. Viola and Siegfreid. Viola has low damaging flashy combos.

I was going to play Tira, but then they decided to make getting into Gloomy a 100% RGN and simultaneously nerfed Jolly which sucks to begin with. Stupid to destroy a character like that so early in the game.

It's fun, but the learning curves a bit higher than MK, but not unbearably difficult. A little practice and you can get in and do fairly decent.

Online's cool, not region locked on either system, pretty decent netcode.

A roster of about 28 characters, story mode, legendary souls (fight like boss characters on harder modes), quick battle to unlock titles and play people's characters from across the globe offline, and arcade is pretty standard, but short with 6 fights.

Online chatrooms are great and allow up to around 5 people per room and you can chat with people in between your mathces, as Iniquity and I were doing and we made a friend:).

CAS is great, with a ton of options and hilarious character creations or really awesome ones of your own design, a nice change of pace.

There's a decent ammount to do for the offline player, but online is probably where you'll get the most out of the game.

Story mode is a bit lackluster, but aside from that and a little less to do offline than in previous SC games, it's a solid, fun title, worth picking up.

From what I hear around 8WayRun (Soul Calibur site), Natsu a really solid character and she's fun to boot:D.

I recommend Amazon.com as you can get it for a drastically reduced price and get Dampierre(a preorder bonus) included in your copy for free.

It's currently almost 40% off now, while new in most stores it's still full price.

I got my copy from Amazon as well, fast, reasonable shipping too.

Kinda.. sounds like Jade, always thought there was something about her that rang a bell back in SC3.
Haha, I've only played SCIV and SCV. I wanna get SC3 for the GameCube, for Link obviously. I like that Viola is completely new, less people complain.

Are the specials and combos just as easy to perform or are they way more complicated? This game doesn't have like 4 different super meters does it? lol

Can you fight against other people's character online? Or can you use your character against the regular characters online? I wouldn't get this game to play it offline.

hmm, never really done the whole online shopping thing. I prefer to get my game right when I want it rather than waiting 2 weeks or w/e for it to get shipped to me.

Kind of, I mean there's some similar stuff, like how Sub-Zero has to hot two button simultaneuously in one of his combos, there's stuff like that in the game, there's quite a few basic combos like one of my characters has a simple triangle, triangle, triangle combo, while others are harder to do.

The critical edges seem awkward to do for me, it's like edit with ZERO's correction:
:d:qtr:r:d:qtr:r A+B+K

to perform them, I'm told once you get the timing down it's not hard, but I have bad coordination tbh lol, it might be cake for you.

Brave edges are easier to do, forget the inputs for them( might be character specific).

There aren't that many meters. lol

There's one meter for your Brave Edges (think ex moves) Guard impact (think parries), and Critical Edge (think X-ray)

You don't take chip damage from block, but your block isn't infinite, block too much and your guard will eventually get broken and leave you open to full combo punish, your life bar will start to glow yellow and then red when it's about to break.

Can you fight against other people's character online? Or can you use your character against the regular characters online? I wouldn't get this game to play it offline.

Yes you can fight other people's created characters and vice versa. There's no restrictions in that regard.

I mean how you get it is up to you, but I got my copy in 2-3 days, it's not long and to save nearly 40% is a nice trade off, I just suggested that as it saves you major dough and you don't have to buy Dampierre later for MU experience.

It's your choice if you want it now or want it a couple days later for a reduced price etc.

I use to main Tira before she was nerfed for no reason. I now main Mitsirugi and I'm enjoying it. If anyone wants to see him played the right way just request TotteryManx, either on xbl or psn.

It's the crtical edge moves. Combos aren't that bad from what I recall lol. I only know one 6 hit combo with viola though it's not too bad, there's some easier strings with characters for sure and some people do big damage off of one or two hits.

I don't play anybody else legit enough to know much else lol.

LOL that's not how you CE. It's :d:qtr:r:d:qtr:r A+B+K

Don't look intimidated. It's not as hard as it looks.

The only thing that's slightly more complicated is the notations.

But all you have to do is look at your numpad or look at a calculator

it's basically:

789
456
123

So the critical edge would be read as 236236 A+B+K

That's what I meant, I accidentally put it in wrong, but it's still the same amount of inputs, which is what he's worried about.

I'm not saying nobody can do it or anything like that.
