brock in UFC was like mileena when mk9 came out 1st

"how to i fight against this"
"best in the game"

which went to i just block the ex tele low oooooh.
when someone stoped brock gettin the takedown and hes was fucked and before it said sure he was a wrestler the takedown his main tool to win,i give u randy as a example, wrestler who when toe to toe stand up with chuck or sakuraba(100% pure pro-wrestler turned mma) who knocked out ken shamrock

he wasnt assed leveling himself up so he went back to the "easy money" i dont see how anyone could respect that, no matter what ever nearly killed him, sure look at frank mir

this is just opinion, i think UFC is boring as hell to watch, but im aware many enjoy it, i found it to be a riot watching brock years ago in the WWE, his debut gimmick of being paul heymans bodyguard was awesome
UFC can have it's boring moments I won't deny that at all. I hate ground fights. I don't know why but I just never really liked Brock when I watched him in wrestling.

i just got bored of every match i saw ending up on the ground whilst they grappled for like 5 minutes, in the wwe i always thought brock had awesome entrance music, great pyros and a badass finisher, plus him lifting the big show/viscera was hype

I kept watching for the stand up fights and it grew on me a lot. Brock definitely had his moments.

I used to think that the UFC was boring to watch, until I started to play those UFC Undisputed games. Really opened my eyes to the sport to the point where I now find it enjoyable to watch.

Why do people still watch wrestling...

i got over wrestling when i was like 12. if you want to watch cool staged fights, watch a martial arts movie. if you want to watch real fights, watch an MMA event. if you want to watch repetitive staged fights with soap opera drama, watch wwe.

why... seriously.... at least UFC has blown up more in the past year and is finally on the verge of overtaking WWE. it's the progression of society.

always thought the ground fights to be the best parts of the mma matches,
its why i much prefered watching japanese mma like PRIDE over UFC
then ufc bought that up and ruined it for me, "oh u cant stomp a person in the head in america"
when watch mma now mostly stick to DREAM

In a way it's like Street Fighter. When you first watch it, it looks a little dull. Then when you actually figure out what's going on, it becomes very exciting and tense. You look at something and think "oh i can easily rush right in there or escape this situation by doing this", when one wrong move like that can lead into a submission.

In my opinion, the wwf was a heap ton more entertaining that ufc.

Watching two guys hug each other on the ground for 5 minutes is NOT fun to watch. I'm glad brock is back, but we'll see what actually happens with him. Seeing as it's pg 13 now, this could go horribly wrong.

For the record, I don't watch wrestling anymore. So that's probably why I found it a lot better to watch. I'm aware it's pretty lame now.

I really don't get this. Before I go on, I will say that I don't watch much WWE wrestling, or wrestling in general these days, but this just caught my eye when I saw it in the original topic title and post.

What I don't get about it, is that Lesnar was hated so much by the WWE fans when he decided to leave the WWE to go try out for football. Hell, a friend of mine was at Wrestlemania when he fought Goldberg and tells me how much people just hated the fight because they knew it would have nothing to offer post match due to Lesnar leaving.

Now he comes back and is getting a king's welcome? And not only that, will this mean that we will be getting another Cena vs. The Rock in a year or so because obviously it makes too much sense? I still don't understand why that match happened this year to begin with. I guess anything to get buys for the WWE's lackluster PPVs these days in a win win for Vince. And the thing is, the WWE fans are stupid enough to have actually bought into the fact that they were going to get a great match between Rock and Cena on Sunday when they forgot to realize that Cena was the only one purely 100% active in the ring all these years while The Rock was out making bad movie after bad movie.

Then again, I guess this Lesnar return just means that the WWE has finally given up hope on the overwhelming majority of their crap roster and needs to bring back some star power from the past who they hope can still do something in the ring aswell as actually do something to keep us entertained.

Good move I guess. After all, the CM Punk stuff could have gone only as far as it did until it got dull and boring.

Brock is one of the more main reasons I couldnt stick to watching WWE. Him, along with Orton Jr & Cena are huge reasons to me why the WWE sucks fucking assholes.

When he goes over the top and breaks someones jaw i will enjoy wrestling as much as UFC.

I marked out so hard last night when Lesnar came back. I marked even harder when he F5'd that phony piece of garbage John Cena.

I've only been watching MMA the past two years. The more I watch and understand the ground game it's growing on me.

Very true it takes time if your just watching it to learn and appreciate it...
Once I began training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu years ago I began to truly love the art.

I've been an on-again-off-again fan of wrestling forever. The off agains due to the fact that it's NOTHING like it used to be when ECW Violence & Controversy Syndrome was still in full-swing and something batshit crazy was going on on a weekly basis. Then as the E slowed down and everything started spilling over onto itself, TNA started putting on some REALLY good shows for a couple of years...then everyone just started collectively sucking, so I got into the indy scene (CZW, Chikara, IWA-MS, etc...) and popped in every now and again for Mania season & whenever something interesting happened, which hasn't been often. The Punk angle last year was brilliant, but it lost fire fast, as did Daniel Bryan getting a title run, I NEVER gave a shit about them spending a year building to a match everyone knew Rock was gonna win, and the rest I couldn't tell you, save for Mark Henry and Sheamus being awesome.
Brock makes me wanna watch because IMO, when he was at the top of his game performance and ringwork-wise, he was one of my favorites to watch. Lesnar/Angle at WM19 among other great matches they had, breaking the Smackdown ring w/Big Show as his hammer, Paul Heyman's douchebaggery, and just looking and fighting like a total destruction machine. Real, fake or not, he could play the part and play it well. I'm hoping he hasn't lost his edge. At this point, whatever happened in the UFC is in the past now; you're no longer dealing with Brock the cagefighter, you're dealing with a more experienced, older, wiser, smarter, more-than-likely-better-performing Lesnar on top of everything he could do/accomplished back in the day, in spite of what happened at WM20. You can't put together two guys of their stature, both of whom were on their way out the door and had bad blood with each other and the head office at the time to begin with, and neither of whom had anything to lose by not killing themselves to get over a match neither really wanted any part of but the payday, and not expect it to go badly..

CZW and IWA-MS deathmatch tournaments are the funniest thing to watch ever. I love watching hideous looking rubes cutting eachother with lightbulbs and pitchforks. Awesome stuff.

I <3 you for knowing what I was talking about :D.
I was a huge CZW fan before the company changed hands and proceeded to get even shittier than it had already become. I used to go the Philly shows every month, along with like 4 of the TOD's. So much fucking fun.
Here's an example...Nick Gage. Best thing to ever happen to CZW. Currently in jail for robbing a bank.
TOD 8, we're out in the field of Deej's farm (a legit farm - cows, chickens, moo, prairie, hay bales, the works) in a circle of herbal happiness before the Finals. Previously mentioned Gage VS Thumbtack Jack, the new guy from Germany who would go on to completely dominate the scene until he blew out his back, in what would be a GRUESOME match, and Gage, who was a friend of mine & Lady Box's - we even made him a cake in the hopes he'd strap lighttubes to it and hit someone with it - comes out to the circle to join us in celebration of his big day, and he is happy as a motherfucker to be doing what he does, he's all smiles, bantering to all the marks and such, and after his partaking, takes off to have his match.

5 minutes later, he takes a between-the-ropes bump wrong and literally impales himself on a skinny light tube (long story short, the big ones implode & break near-harmlessly, the thin ones snap off and stab if hit wrong), has to be flown out via helicopter, the match ends in a giant onthefly glass-filled battle royal, he dies for 8 seconds on said helicopter ride, and comes back a month later as though nothing happened.
