However, my ride doesn't like driving up to GU too often cause it's kinda out of the way from where we live. BUT, some friends of mine invited me to join them at this place they found in Boston, and I could definately see a decent MK scene growing there. I'll try to make it out to one of these, but I can't be there every week as Friday and Wednesday are already days that I travel to play casuals.

Speaking of which: Phoenix has started a weekly meetup on Wednesdays at TNT Pizzain Holyoke. It's primarily a Soulcalibur thing, but there were definitely people there for MK as well. People from Western Mass should check it out. Here's the address:

They're planning on running each Wednesday from 4:00pm to 2:00am.

Well, It's been a long time since I've posted on here, Finally have time to try to get back into fighters, and wow is there allot I have to relearn, enough of me being ridiculously rusty at MK, and the fact that Im partially lazy, Where are "Fight nights" located nowadays :p I see that TnT pizza above me and I know Game Underground still does stuff, what about souperbowl? or anything closer to NH seeing how I still lack my own wheels :p

I'm not aware of any meetups in NH, unfortunately.

Hey just a heads up, TNT Pizza is changing their meetups from Wednesday nights to Monday nights. So like don't go out there tonight cause ain't nobody gonna be there. Well I mean people will be there but they'll be eating pizza and not playing video games. You know what I mean.

Now that my Wednesdays are free I'm thinking of checking out this BrainBox next week. If I'm there the 29th, will there be people there for Mortal Kombat 9? FordCruller?

I just wanted to post that I'm not actually going to BrainBox tonight due to inclement weather. I imagine nobody cares but I don't like to go back on my word and it's a policy of mine to apologize when I do so.

Anything going down Fight night/Tournament wise soon? Besides that, anyone wanna come play some offline matches in Southern NH this week hit me up... I got an itch over last week to play some MK again...

Unfortunately there aren't going to be any more tournaments for MK9 in New England. As far as casuals go I could be down to drive up to NH sometime. This week is PAX East so I'm not available but the weekend after I could come by.

Yeah, it kind of sucks there's 0 scene of any kind up here. Maybe I need to become a Capcom fan... *shutters* lol. They scheduled PAX during Easter? that kind of blows... Anyways enjoy and let me know when you get back - we'll plan something.

Man I wouldn't play a worse game just because there were more people playing it. If it came down to a point where my only option to play offline was to play SF4 I would just quit fighting games.

First time I've posted here in a minute, but I just wanted to let you guys know about Ultimate Gaming Spot! It's located in a Metro PCS store on Providence Highway in Dedham, MA. The guys there play everything. All the standard Capcom and Namco stuff, but there are also VF, MK, KOF, Skullgirls, and DOA players there as well. I usually go on Saturday or Sunday, so if you're interested in going, just let me know and we can get some games in! I'm making an effort to learn Skarlet and it's not going smoothly, so be kind haha.

Gamingetc in Stratford, CT will have a $5 entry side tournament for Mortal Kombat on Sunday, May 6th. Right off the highway, free parking, across the street from a Duchess, 14 Xbox 360 setups with Evo monitors, and plenty of space. Also, they are experienced with running brackets. Please come and check it out! I'll be there.

Which is unfortunate, because Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition (Ver. 2012) is a really good game after you learn to play it. But I agree with the idea that one can play the games they prefer, even if they're less popular. I still play Guilty Gear XX Accent Core when I can.

Are you going to GU this friday? Is anyone else going to GU on friday? I have a buddy that would like to go, he's not the best at MK yet, but he'd love the practice. If there's some kind of turnout I will probably show up.

Yeah, I'm going to be there Friday. Presumably blueNINE will be there as well.
