And seriously, how many more majors does CD jr have to win before people stop placing REO above him? He can win EVO and MLG, and people will still say REO is gonna win the next major, and REO is the best MK9 player. They're both among the best imo, but I notice jr is never given enough credit despite him ALWAYS coming out on top in tourneys. I mean, you said it yourself. He's NOT the best at any of his respective characters....and yet he still always wins. That says quite a lot.

On a side note, I'm not a VSM fanboy. In fact, I want PL, FOREVER KING, Tyrant, or Curbolicous to make it on top. I'm just pointing out the inevitable based on pattern recognition, honestly. Kind of hoping I'm wrong. =P

Everyone that's played PL offline in 2012 says he's still got it. You have myself, Slips, Dizzy and IKizzle who've all played PL and VSM recently saying it's going to be close. Yet there's this fantasy Carl is trash and is getting blown up. The bitter tears will be flowing in Columbus this weekend.

I wouldnt say that. I m not trying to support PL but it would be best not to underestimate the guy. And btw i agree that winning EVO last year means nothing now. That was a totally different game back then.

lol @ people thinking PL won't even make top 8. I'm pretty confident he'll at least get 8th. He beat Slips, 16 bit, and Dizzy which makes him relevant imo. If anyone says that those wins don't count is a direct slap to the players he beat. On another note it's going to be great if he does make top 8 because everyone will be saying, "oh he didn't win HE SUCKS!" When all along some of you are claiming he won't even make top 8 lmao.

Who ever gets in top 8 hope there are no lame chars that means : Spammers that add no nice show to the streams like ( Noob Kenshi Kano or FK ) those chars are horribly booooring to watch also cyrax if played in gay mode ( resets ) is also boooring hope to see a Skarlet or other low tier like Sindel or Jade or Rain do good since in last tournament a NW got top8 and thats also a low tier char maybe we see a surprice this time again who knows.

Not necessarily underestimate, I know he's good as do others. I just think other's are going to make top 8 as oppose to him. I definitely think Tyrant will place higher than PL though.

Noob, Kenshi, Freddy, and Kano have their own unique styles, their space control and zoning is apart of it.

Let's see ...I want NEW BLOOD in the Top 8. So I made two separate lists, most likely and my personal choice :)

New Blood:
CURBOLICOUS - I love his cocky attitude, his big ego and confidence. If he told me he's going to make Top 8 or win MLG, I will instantly believe him on the spot. Offline players insult that he's an online warrior, I don't care most likely he will be the dark horse in the stacked competition at MLG... offline players you all get ready to bow and kiss the feet of CURBOLICOUS.

FOREVER KING - I don't care if he tells me he's human. He's psychic and the talent he has in MK even almost a year ago, he is among the best I've ever played, never won a match against him, I bet he can out-mirror match me on my characters and turn my characters into trash tier. He's a mastermind at this game, a humble person in person from what I've heard. I look forward when he returns from MLG with success, it's guaranteed. Online warrior ready to get his overdue recognition he deserves.

KT Smith - I hate Smoke so he better not be using Costume 1 with that ridiculous hair. Costume 2 or MK2 Smoke for the win. I root for him to be Top 8.

That Sheeva player from Final Round would be so awesome to make Top 8

Wish I knew, honestly Tyrant reactions mixed with his ability to play and think so fast is unmatched imo, I don't think Pl can play as fast. Tyrant gotcha grabs raiden superman on reaction for god sake. By far the best Jax too, when him and CDjr mirror I cant see CDjr taking a round off Tyrant. For some reason though people in this community that's not from socal do not see him making top 8, can't wait to say I told ya so.

And lol for people who seriously think PL wont make top 8 but players like M2dave will, and I hope CDjr really does pull his sektor out during mlg its will be lulz worthy.
