Anyway, I'm not sure what the theme is for this "clash". Like is it just a random team vs a random team? Just with high level players? Just curious.

Clash 2 is better for the groups. It is way more exciting when the teammates are cheering on and really meaning it. Like when CD jr. is cheering on Maxter you can feel he really means it. Teammates must really care for each other for it to be exciting. That said 8 on 8 might be a little large. That would be the only downside of Clash 2.
