Characters you want to main, but can't?

Anyone here have any characters they want to main, but the playstyle just isn't right? I really want to main Scorpion, but I just can't get him to work.

Kenshi. I was so excited. Blind but telekinetic seems sooo cool. But, I really didn't like his playstyle.

Any character with a 1+2 input. It's not even that I can't do it, it's just that I don't like it. Though that wouldn't be an issue if I would get to learning to play on a stick...

No matter how much i like these characters, theres just 1 or 2 details that repel me from usng them.

Shang. I've been in the lab with him forever. His moves feel a lot slower than they actually are and I can't get over this when actually playing against someone....

Skarlet shes really good but really hard to master but since I main Kitana shes good against most people in the kast so besides Kenshi there is no other uber hard matchup but Skarlet would own that ghey spammer easy

Ermac, he's my favorite Mortal Kombat character, but I missed the opportunity to learn him because of pre-patch Lao's simplicity. (Lao is my third favorite)

Before I picked up Smoke, CSZ was going to be my main, but the negative edge on that damn bomb, along with the string that involves pressing two buttons at once (at the time, I couldn't do this for some reason), drew me away. I just recently (as in 30 minutes ago) learned some basics with him, but I just can't play as this character because of that Dash 3 flaw.

Before the game came out, there were five characters I wanted to main. Those characters were Scorpion, Sonya, Kung Lao, Liu Kang, and Raiden.

I quickly took well to Scorpion, Sonya, and Raiden, although Scorpion was soon put to the side as a utility character while Sonya and Raiden would go on to become two of my best players.

As for Kung Lao...I couldn't garner any interest in him whatsoever. He felt so awkward to me. Perhaps I'll give him another chance soon.

With Liu Kang, I find I get poked out of my rushdown quite a bit. I can zone well with him, but often I get my attacks blocked when I try to start up pressure.

Ermac, especially his Costume 2 I tried to motivate myself but he's very tough to play.

Smoke, I like Smoke since UMK3 but I just don't like his playstyle. I got to meet Smoke's voice actor Ken Lally last year little did I know he worked on MK9 before its official release date. Even with Costume 2, MK2 Costume, Ken Lally (I hate Costume 1, that hair!) - I can't seem to get myself motivated to learn Smoke he's so complicated because he is not rushdown aggressive, heavy counterattack character. If they ever release his UMK3 Costume on XBox/PS3, I'll give him one last shot.

Aside from those two, I got to play all the characters I wanted because I liked them (8/10 ..2 failed not bad).
