For what it's worth I've always played MK9 on a Hori Fighting Commander 3. It's wired and in my opinion it's got better trigger buttons and a better d-pad than the stock PS3 controller.

The beauty is it doesn't sync to it at all, it has a little usb connector and an actual on off button. doesn't work at all unless the usb connector is plugged in to the PS3. And there is no way you could ever forget it in there because the next guys up would need to plug in there controllers as well and if it's on slim there are only 2 usb ports anyways.

So if it's in your pocket and you forget to turn it off even, there is no possible way it could effect anything at all.

Ok I just notice that my madden atlanta falcons pad is that same pad sir! YEA THOSE ARE ALLOWED! If the usb hub isn't plugged in it doesn't work.

This has been posted on my WEBSITE for months. Anyways the wireless controllers always cause problems during tournaments. Just last night at battle and brew tournament that had only 20 people we had 2 times someone forgot to desync their pads! I'm not going to deal with that on a larger scale. If you play in tournaments this is the standard now to avoid possible matches being paused during someone else match. Desyncing tables/stations do not work and are not worth the time because people will still forget. We are eliminating that option at FRXV.

Well I'm just saying. Should of been posted here since its the mk forum and that's one thing that mk ppl use is those pads. A lot of ppl like myself just read the info here not on the site. Just trying to help avoid confusion during the tournament.

I use a stick so does not matter to me. Lol

How are the brackets going to work? I don't think anyone wants to fight their local buddies first match.

This depends on if you register online or not. If you register online we will do our best to seperate players by region or click/teams, but if you show up at the door and register you will be placed in the bracket were you fit. Of course we aren't going to purposely put you up against your friend in the 1st round, but you run the risk of having to play against them if you and your friend don't register online. The only way you can make sure we will seperate you from the people in your area is that you register online. If you register at the door you will be just another name to put in the brackets/pools, but if you register online we will put you in the system according to all of the info you give us. Also you need to make sure you put your location when registering online.

The key to making the brackets/pools is to get the majority of the players to sign up online so we can have the majority of the pools/brackets done by thursday evening. On friday during at the door registration we will just add people in the 1st available spot in the pool/brackets. If you don't register online you will have no one but yourself to blame if you have to play against someone you always play against within the 1st 3 rounds! So I advise everyone that KNOW they are coming to FRXV to online register! Who wants to come a major and play their friend in the 1st 3 rounds? I know I wouldn't but that's not up to me.

also i wanna add something in case you werent aware?
as an arcade stick customizer here...i can say the wireless Joystick is easily fixable.....really. all you have to do is open your ps3 pad, remove the wire connecting the board to the battery or even remove the battery. while ur at it, clean your joypad as well for more accuracy
close pad..and problem solve.
when battery is removed, u will only be able to use the Pad when it's connected to the Ps3 with a wire!
