i think PL should wear yellow tights and spit his gum up in the air and then catch it after his interview. also he needs to keep saying how perfect he is!! that would be so sweet.

oh yeah he needs to learn the perfect plex as well!! sorry i forgot that one guys.

Wow that much payout for MK? As a poor college student and a half-way decent MK player, making at least 1000$ would be friggen sweet man!!! They better officially confirm this :)

That wont be the prize pool for MK9 i can pretty much guarantee that. In the 2011 season Halo Reach (4v4) 1st place was $20,000 & at Nationals it was $100,000 & in SC2 (1v1) 1st place was $5000 & Nationals it was $50,000.
Solely depends on how many people show up

Is it confirmed this is in March? At first this was exciting because I assumed it'd be next winter but if it's next month that's ridiculous. There's not enough notice. It's just weeks after Final Round, which almost all top players are already going to. I cannot go to this now and I'm betting many won't either. Then they'll blame us for not supporting the game.
Remember what you said to UsedForGlue on the podcast?

Whatever you have to do, do it in order to get your ass over there. I want to see you there!

The people showing up has no affect on the prize money the prize money comes from the sponsors who are supporting that game. If not many people show up or watch the stream then they will just simply take the game off the circuit as soon as the season is over.

Ever heard of stream revenue?

Stay small if you don't know what you're talking about
I know what stream revenue is dunno why you asked me that question.

All i was saying was that the prize money in MLG isn't determined by how many people attend the first event or how many people watch it. The prize money is already set months before the season starts which is funded by sponsors that want to advertise there products alongside that certain game. MLG doesn't put any of their own money in the prize pool and player attendance doesn't go towards prize pool either this shit aint runned like Street Fighter tournaments bro.

By the way when Tekken 6 was in the 2010 MLG circuit prize money for first place was $2500 so i would expect around $2500 to $5000 for 1st place in MK9.
