So others shouldn't thank God or make any religious references right? The first thing to leave the lips of so many professional athletes in post-game interviews is something religious - I doubt you care about that, so why does what Sonic does matter?

I have yet to see someone who thinks Sonic is a bad person give actual receipts past really nebulous comments like "he's an asshole, IYKYK" or "he talks behind people's backs" - but as far as I know, we've literally never seen any evidence that that's true, only the opposite, with his main crime being that he is the winningest in our scene, and knows it. Usually these same people then make comments like this^, "keep politics out of video games," but then cry when everyone else starts connecting the dots on why they don't like Sonic.

Well, which is it? Should people be able to use a competition as a platform, or not? Should they sterilize any part of their identity/personality that doesn't directly relate to the competition at hand? Is it only ok when its something you agree with?

IIRC, all he ever does is thank the LGBTQ+ community, furry community, whatever. I don't really pay attention to it, because it does not matter. I also don't care when people literally proselytize about how God is good and through his will they won the big game.
