Has NRS silenced the Mortal Kombat 1 critics?

My changes actually made it into the game. I'm so excited for the future of MK1. This alone tells us all they're not finished yet.

NRS this is the 8th time this has happened across multiple games. I know for a fact someone's from the team is on TYM this is proof after what was displayed on the Kombat Kast.

Same. This game looks pretty awesome, I just wish I had more than 15 minutes a night to put into it. Really hoping we start to see some bigger turnout at offline tournaments and a growing presence online/streaming for this game.

I'm thinking they might introduce these "fatal blow installs" for every character in the next MK and are testing the waters with this patch. It looks like their own version of heat system from Tekken 8. Johnny Cage's star power was likely the prototype version of this system as well. We just might see Reptile with the "slow down time" thing back in the next game, but tied to fatal blow conditions or something.

As I stated before or even months ago. This would be much more interesting than fatal blows. I hope the next Mk game do away with them or bring back 3 bar X-ray and keep this 30% dragon install. Man I can't wait till it's implemented for each character.

I just saw a very dramatic Tom Brady post on twitter where he says the patch, its too late, he can't go play Sub Zero anymore. I love Tom, I loved when he was competing, his commentary, etc. but what the hell is that lol that seems so...odd? especially because its not like he was headed to the pro tour anyway (by his own admission, not a slam on his skills) so why not just pick up and play the game? We finally have a solid fighting game here and it's "too late"? SF V took 3 years to get good, that community was still thriving when it finally happened and even more people came back to the game. Why is it different for MK1??

I skipped around the kast to see what mileena does.

The new changes are reminiscent of Tekken 7’s rage/rage drive system but it functions like an install which is very anime fighter. There’s anime fighter touches all over MK1 (installs, puppet characters, unique character resources, two step zoning). Now Mileena has access to gattling combos when she’s activated install, transforming her into a guilty gear xrd character.

Did they say anything about movement speed or back dash buffs or defensive buffs?

Things are getting good.

I don’t see any drama. What I said was they finally gave subzero something that many of us, including myself I’ve asked for. A year and a half is a bit long to make some of these changes, I feel like many of these changes could and should have been done much sooner. I then also said that the game right now is something that I probably would’ve had a lot of fun streaming and grinding the possibilities of. I feel like if the game were released like this, I would’ve had a lot of fun on it. However, at the year and a half point, I’m not going to come back to it. I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with the game right now, just that they took a very long time and I’m not interested in revisiting it. There’s nothing dramatic that I’m saying here, nor did I insult the game in any way nor was I negative about it. It’s OK for someone to say I wish this happened sooner, I’m not going to come back at this point, but I’m happy for the players who are still here.

Balance adjustments for Kung Lao

Dismantle the 2121 string.

Take the 3rd hit (the elbow strike) make this his F1.
Add the chain fist at the end of 21. Make chain fist -7

Remove the armor off BF2. Allow the windmill punches on block, keep it unsafe (make it safe with a kameo ya know like he does now).

MB version is +2 on block with push back. Use the palm strike from the last hit of 2121 as the ender for MB BF2.

An additional spin added to Lao with DF1 input 7 frame start up. Pops up for combos and anti airs.

Also it would work in tandem with EX DU3 spin armor cancel. Allow 2in1 cancel into DF1 spin from DU3 ex cancel.

This would not be broken and will be a hard read into a just frame cancel which is death on block and costing a resource. This is ingenuity compared to EX BF-2 Goro and adds skill floor to the character. Think of a just frame link.
