Thrill Kill
I'm watching all the launch trailer and damn they're good! Whatever happened to each game once released, their launch trailers were certainly exciting.

MK9's launch trailer is mostly a showcase of features, and has that infamous ending with Liu Kang dying by being runover by a taxi lmao

I grew up during the Nu Metal mainstream era, and even if I'm not the biggest fan I still have nostalgia for many of those songs. This trailer is amazing. Mortal Kombat and System of a Down together in a hype-inducing mash-up. I know some people said this looks like a "2010 youtube amv"... I can see why, but I like it regardless.

Hype af. I mean, even with the music they could've messed up the editing or something but they didn't. Everytime I watch this trailer makes me wanna play some MORTAL KOMBAT.

This one is more narrative-focused, but it still features some well edited gameplay bits and fights. It's almost a "look who's here!" type of trailer.

Watch them all one after the other and tell me how you feel about them!

What's the point of a random Krypt?
Judging solely by the way they made me feel when I first saw them, then it's MK9's, it's not even close. It showed so many things we hadn't seen yet. I remember going "wait, WTF, Did Shang Tsung just fucking MORPHED???" He hadn't done that in 15 years, and I was sure he was never ever going to do it again.
Mk11's would probably be second, because of the song, and MKX'S last, because of the song as well, which I love, but don't think it fits very well.

Both MKX and MK11 had insane marketing and hype behind them. As far as the actual trailers though, tbh, MK1’s is the one I liked the most. It actually got me wanting to learn the MK lore/story, as I never really cared for the story in really any fighting game. Which led me to watching a long video detailing the entire history of MK. And I actually played the full story mode for MK1. Only other NRS MK game I did that for I believe was MKX, and that was because you had to beat it in order to unlock Shinnok, which was my co-main with Scorpion.

Nah, hahaha. I honestly believe that a lot of the DC characters were better characterized in MKvsDC than in Injustice. Even some MK ones. We haven't seen Sonya have all her classic specials since then, and that's even after two games with variations.

This is my experience with MK vs DC: I went to GameStop and bought it because it was Mortal Kombat. I love Mortal Kombat! The "Teen" rating was a "!" moment (think Metal Gear Solid for sound reference), but I still bought it. I got home, popped it in and started to play it. I had buyer's remorse in about 10 minutes or so and took it back.

I can't give an opinion on it outside of I simply did not like it because it was not Mortal Kombat to me.

to be fair, I do not think I can defend it... i just really liked it. It was the 1st full nrs story mode, and I thought the story was awesome, and it was also the 1st fighting gamer where I played online vs matches. So I was able to play it a lot as I could always find randoms to play and didn't have to convince my wife or kids to play with me.

The struggle is real. None of my friends or family wanted to play me in any fighting games ever because I kicked all of their asses. lol

I was so glad there was online play with MK9.
