It’s rare for a new hero arena shooter or whatever the genre is called to be successful, but Marvel Rivals has been definitely killing it. So far they’ve done everything right. And it helps that it’s Marvel characters of course, but if the game wasn’t good or horribly imbalanced then it wouldn’t be successful.
Anyway, who here plays and who are your mains? I just started playing the other day, so don’t have much time in the game at all. But it’s super fun and it’s also entertaining to watch. It’s also funny how toxic it can get, especially considering how new the game is. But yeah, so far I’m liking Mantis, Black Widow, and Hulk. I’ve never played as support/healers before in these games, but Mantis actually is good at getting kills as well. And I’ve noticed at low ranks, almost everyone picks a DPS hero regardless of the team comp. Like, no one cares what the team needs, they just pick their mains. And most of them are absolutely terrible at the game, which makes sense at low ranks but when you insta lock a DPS hero and then go 1-19 or whatever, that can get real frustrating real quick, lol.
Aside from that, I really like how much options there are to alter your controls on console/controller. It’s also cool that you can have specific sensitivity, button layouts, etc saved for each hero. And like I said, it’s really detailed/advanced which is huge as a controller player. One of the main things I do is change the default attacking button which is usually R2 to R1. Just feels much better imo
