High ping? I don't think so? MK broken again!

So like clockwork something happens in one of these updates and i get stuck not being able to go online.

MKX - connecting to online.. wait and wait and wait
MK11 - wait and wait and wait and no connections
MK1 - error saying i've got a high ping (>225ms), try again when connection is more stable.

I haven't touched my connection. Same as it's been since MK1 was released. All the ping tests to google DNS (~25ms), xbox latency check (~154ms) and whatever else (all in expected ranges) seem fine.

Xbox check can be ignored, as it's always been high as it pings some random server in US(?)

If it's happening in all the games, odds are it is your connection. Keep in mind even if you haven't changed anything, your ISP could have changed something on their end.

Who's your provider? What modem are you using? Are you using a router or is your modem doubling up as one? Is your console wired or wireless? Have you tested it with other games? How about other games on another platform (i.e. PC)?

Life was wasted on you.
You don't have to have changed anything for it to be your connection. General wear and tear, faulty wiring, etc. You need to get someone out there to inspect your lines and see what's going on.

It could be something completely external from the house or internally. I've been there before which is why I'm suggesting you do this if you haven't done so already.

I had latency issues for a while at a different house when I was younger and once I decided to get a tech out there, things improved. Come to find out, part of the wiring running to the house had gotten damaged and was causing our connection to be quite intermittent. They replaced the frayed wiring and everything was as right as rain.

Y'all people clearly missed the part where i said ping tests to other sites were normal. As in the same as they've been since forever, using the same hardware on the same xbox with the same cables.

Ping test shows 0-1ms jitter, and a solid 22ms to Google DNS. If it was a local issue then it should show some anomalies on that test, at minimum some spikes that are way out of the normal.

If it's happening in all the games, odds are it is your connection.
The references to older games were a callback to a similar (connection drama) issue happening in those games (roughly around the same time, 2nd DLC patch). Not that there's an issue now. I just played a round of MK11, no issue - on a 220ms connection, + my ~50ms means it was around 270ms.

If you look at my previous threads you can find them.

I'm 100% certain this is an NRS issue. I've never, ever, ever had my local ping being more than 70ms, even on a bad day. If i play someone local (AUS) then ~50-70ms ping is about the normal. I think NRS have connected me to some random server in outer mongolia.
