Let's be real tho, these are the scraps of former DLC.

Ghostface is an extremely easy license to obtain nowadays. And no one can pretend Ghostface is anywhere near as iconic as Jason, or Freddy. Leatherface is maybe even a tier higher than Ghostface depending on who you ask.

Terminator 2 AND Conan are likely just using the rights deals made in MK11.

KP1 Guests are kinda suspiciously Injustice-y, and Omni-Man is kinda suspicious to me with how they previously wanted Kirkmans other property, Walking Dead's Michonne.

WB owns DC, so Peacemaker.

Seems to me that this game didn't get the love and effort the previous ones did.

Sector and Cyrax were inspired by Predator? News to me. I always thought they were inspired by Robocop, and in they are literally cyborgs and their entire story is about the human inside being controlled or if they are in charge and have free will, is identical to Robocop's main through line story.

I vaguely remember an interview of Ed Boon saying Predator was (at least one of) the inspiration for the Cyborgs. I mean, Cyrax has the very same wrist console that he inputs some code into and explodes in his UMK3 fatality.

There isn't a form of fantasy that is not directly influenced by his books and therefor indirectly by Conan... including MK.

Thanks for the education. I should watch the movie /read some of the comics. I’ve seen the sexy red sonja comics they’re certainly intriguing

Only guest character I’ve ever wanted is Sweet Tooth

i know twisted metal is practically a dead franchise but NRS seems to be digging up dead franchises so why not Sweet Tooth?

Yeah maybe dead is a bit extreme. It’s just definitely not as well known as it once was.

I bet if they did put him in though there would be a fanbase to turn out. I’d also think that MK fans and twisted metal fans probably have a decent overlap. He’s a pretty natural fit.

Sweet Tooth would be a good fit for MK. I miss the days of Twisted Metal 1-3. Black wasn't too bad either.

We’re a far cry from Jason, and both the Predator and Xenomorph in the same game.

I just need to know who decided that the gameplay demo for this big ass slow monster should start from full screen, so we can watch him awkwardly dash, walk and then floaty jump over to his opponent

tell me you’re a Rob Zombie fan without telling me you’re a Rob Zombie fan. That’s a dark horse pick for best twisted metal if I ever heard one, but I respect it! The physics feel too clumsy to me I like how the other games the cars fly around more like ace combat haha

Yea TM2 and TM Black are definitely the two elite games with TM1 behind those two. Thumper was pretty OP too (not counting ban level Midion) in TM2 lol.

Definitely wish we got a good car combat game again. Before you had TM, Destruction Derby, and games like that but they don't make them anymore. I'm hoping with the success of the Twisted Metal TV show they'll make a new game again that's more true to the GOAT versions and not like the last attempt or 4 types.

wreckfest honestly did a great job replicating destruction derby for the new gen. But yeah we need a new car combat game badly

This conversation just unlocked childhood memories of playing Destruction Derby 64, and another game I had to google to remember, called BattleTanx.

Can't believe how bad they look now but man those games were peak as a kid. It is strange that genre of game is completely non-existent nowadays.
