This movie is on the same lvl like Tyler Rake or John Wick movies, but just more brutal and with more violence.
It has some of the best action scenes you will see this year, just alone the opening fight scene vs Yakuza ( gives you hella Mortal Kombat vibes ) is one of the sickest fight scenes Ive seen since The Raid.
This movie comes from the same director who made The Night Comes For Us.
Too bad not many ppl know about this movie.

I felt the same way about another Netflix Original that's similar & didn't get the audience it deserved when it's like John Wick & Cranked combined but grittier called "Kate" starring Mary Elizabeth Winstead (best known as Ramona Flowers in Scott Pilgrim):

Netflix has been killing it when it comes to action movies the past few years too.

Ye, Kate was hella awesome. Got some bad reviews but I had tons of fun watching it.
The Shadow strays is also in English, plus the cameo at the end is pretty sick which will def give us a second part in future.

I've watched this movie three times now since first watching it. It's one of my new favorite films. I love the main character. The actress and the character herself is amazing. I love how much she screams when fighting.

I love the fight scenes (and there are a lot of those!), violence and the characters as well. I highly recommend if you enjoy films like Nobody, John Wick, Ninja Assassin, etc.

Question though, did y’all watch it English Dubbed or with Subtitles? I’ve never been a fan of live action Eng dubs, the mouth not matching the words can be super distracting to me. But having to read a lot can also be distracting, so just curious which way y’all chose to watch? @Eldriken @LiangHuBBB

I watched it in its native language with English subtitles. I'd much rather watch something in its native language. I also hate when mouths don't line up with what's being said.

Indeed. More often than not, the English VA is fucking atrocious and detracts from my enjoyment of the film.

Native language with German subs.
On the side note this director also made Headshot which is also on Netflix.
And he will also direct the upcoming movie Nobody 2, Im really hyped for this!

Been meaning to post in here but thank you for the recommendation dude! I adore the raid films and The Night Comes For Us was great too. This movie was awesome tho. That opening fight scene belonged in an mk movie for sure! I wish this was the guy making the new mk movie.

also liked how it ended and am definitely gonna keep my eye out for the sequel.
