Bro that was omega ass. They didn't even show what happened to Havik, what the fuck lmao. He just loses the last fight and then . . . . . nothing?

The Orin cameo was cool, but another lost plot point because we don't see Tanya go back to get them.

Yeah, not great. I think it was a weird decision to make all of the chaos people just normal characters with mohawks instead of using the random mishmash characters from the first story mode. Those seem way more chaotic to me.

Nothing about the story was interesting so whatever, but I was still hoping for at least one or two twists by the end, but we didn't get anything exciting. The only thing that surprises me is that Bi-Han is still Noob Saibot since they WILL bring back Sub-Zero somehow. Maybe there will be another expansion that explains it in the future.

As much as I hate 3d era characters having a whole storyline dedicated to any version of havik being the big bad without Hotaru included in some way is a huge miss

Bi-han stays as Noob Saibot and his ending suggests he’s staying that way which is great. I think he has final boss potential.

Also I’m glad that anyone but him will be Sub-Zero. I actually like Bi-han as Noob Saibot, cannot stand him as Sub-Zero though.

Pretty sure Sub-Zero is going to be Hanzo.

I PERSONALLY hope they just don’t continue in this timeline.

Also personally hoping NRS’s next game they keep talking about is maybe a sequel to shaolin monks or something in that vein with Hanzo and Kuai Liang back.

I was extremely disappointed. I didn’t have high hopes but I didn’t think it would be this low.

It felt super rushed and a lot of shit didn’t even make sense (Rain’s death for sure). 2 hours?? Really man…Aftermath was better than this and I can’t stand MK11 lol

There's not a single thing in this redeemable. Liu Kang is an amazing moron. Levels of strength between characters is hilariously stupid (Empress Tanya is basically second only to the One Being in strength apparently...). Just unbelievably stupid.

tbh i found it quite alright for a hollywood-like narrative. its constantly interesting, visually strong, the dialogue is a far cry from the cheese of the original campaign and i didnt make out any horrendous plot holes on my first playthrough.

I think it was a mid story with a bad ending, at the very worst.

Harumi was pretty cool.
Titan Havik was pretty cool.
Emperor Rain and Tanya were pretty cool.
Frost getting her very first canon W? Very cool.

I feel very whatever about the Orin cameo. It was there. It happened. We all saw it.

I'm glad that Noob is staying an asshole(as per his arcade ending), and that Sektor is his ride or die.

Overall just kind of mid with the potential to be good ruined by a bad ending.

I don't think it's the worst thing committed to screen, but in internet speak that means I must have loved it.

5/10, could have been an 8 with more time. It's also very obvious that there will be another expansion at some point.

The Emperor Rain and Tanya stuff just highlights how bad this alt timeline shit is. We've never seen these characters together like this, but we're supposed to care about their relationship? This isn't even a fanship situation because Rain fans want him to be gay and Tanya fans want her to fuck Mileena.

And even funnier, the last time we saw Rain and Tanya together, she fucking snitched him out and got him murdered

A massive W for this story was the cinematography tho. Holy shit whoever is doing that work for NRS is too talented. I just shat on the Tanya/Rain relationship, but the scene where she reacts to his death is crazy, at least visually.

Very meh story, and it all felt very inconsequential. Boring writing. Boring conclusion you could see a mile away. Had some fun moments.

The Havik's house of horrors part just made me see so much potential for another Shaolin Monks type game. I was just sitting there thinking "wow this would be cool if it were gameplay".

I've had Johnny Cage fatigue for a while now, but this is probably the worst he's been since Scorpion's Revenge. He literally only exists to make inappropriate quips and pop culture references now. They really should have used this expansion as an opportunity to give the spotlight to a character with less exposure than Johnny.
