Great post and i couldnt agree more. I read alot of threads with people saying "Way to drop the ball NRS" and stuff of that nature and to be honest those people are clueless. All games go live with bugs and unbalancing issues and the devs usually release a few patches to fix as much of the problems has possible but even then all the bugs dont get fixed. A known fact now though is that NRS did the farthest thing from dropping the ball they took and old classic franchise and not only made it good enough to hang with the big boys of today but also beat them out to win Fighting Game of the Year. I dont think they are going to do a hotfix with the Komplete Edition and I dont really care if they do its a great game and I'll keep playing it.

In my opinion the best will be for NRS to wait till EVO2012 passes and than they can fix all needed to be fixed. But I do want Jade to get some more love :)

Good god. Trying to tell people this is noble but the retards don't get it!

Play the game and stop bitching. We as tournament players set the tone and should not partake in trivial conversations on this subject. People like CD jr hide things that break the game but shouldn't be hidden at all. In stead give people the chance to try and overcome this before decIding if it's broken or not. I have never lost to a smoke in a tourney before even with the reset.

So let's be mature, let's be high level tourney players, and let's be a team. Let's all take a lesson from people like pig, mayo etc and be community minded!

I agree with this! Some of us need to stop complaining and develop our characters more....isn't that what the character forums are for? Granted that is much harder because our training mode sucks, but we have come very far as a community since April. This looks like the final version of the game, but it's still VERY good. Smoke and others have cheesy resets but what we have to understand is if every character was equal the game would probably suck because that would make every character average.

On the other hand, we should be EXTREMELY thankful that NRS actually listens to us as fans and give us what we want. Many other companies give their fans a BIG middle finger. THANKS NRS FOR A GREAT GAME!

MK has been a monumental success and w today's MLG announcement it's grown even further to a new level

Word up Fly, I have never understood the hiding tech thing. Good write up THTB.
And I've never understood people getting pissy if they don't get credit for "there" tech, who gives a shit, were all in the same boat, lets get to the next level of MK9.

.....then made legal again a few months later? Man, I would have been sooooooo mad if I was an Algol-player. People have it too easy these days. As another high-tier MKA player and mid-tier UMK3 player, I second the notion of getting better and leveling up or stop playing. We didn't always have these options. Also, online players shouldn't really have a say in what get fixed, especially if they never play offline. No one cares about fixing the game for online play.....worry about making it tournament viable and balanced 1st, then if there's anything leftover, give it to the armchair-warriors.

100% true, even the resets aren't that big of a deal. I play on a weekly basis with one of the best Jax's in the US (Tyrant) and he never uses resets. He wins purely on skill.

This is why I love the SoKal Kommunity, if you can't deal with a move (like Reptile's dash), you just ask anyone and you'll get WAY more information that you even need.

detroit went to nec with a tech that no one from new york knew about.the soul steal glitch,and i didnt hear no one bitch about that.i dont give a fuck what anyone thinks im not gonna reveal how you do the reset and yes i am going to abuse that shit.detroit,pig,and morty didnt want to play me or my bros before nec so we dont figure out how they play and now im doing kinda the same thing by not revealing my tech.now im going to do worst,if is not a tournament everytime i get on stream im not going to play my main characters anymore and REO you shouldnt either and im going to tell you why in person.im not trying to disrespect any body,im really not but i have learned alot from nec.just like daigo.tokido,mago and all japanese players dont like to be recorded playing unless is on a tourney or a mm im going to do the same thing.yay

I respect the hell out of CDjr. I respect his innovative play style, I respect his ability to read his opponent, I respect his overall knowledge of the game, but I do not respect that last statement.

Mortal kombat has always been known for its sense of community. Winning a tournament because of a glitch that no one knows about is a little selfish, especially when you've been taunting them for months. I knew about the glitch with Shang tsung for a long time before NEC. But game breaking tech is different. MK is too new to have secrets be kept. It just shows how selfish some players are when people keep all of their knowledge to themselves. I'm not specifically calling out CD jr but he does fall into this category at the moment

believe it or not you are my fav nightwolf player and i dont talk shit or disrespect people that i have respect for.i think you are disrespecting me by saying all that stuff but w.e no hard feelings.so the soul steal glitch is not game breaking? but smokes reset is? do you knw that sometimes the boosts lasts for like 20 seconds?is ok for shang to have a boost version of himself when he already does 30+ damage unbreakable combos?lol ok fly

This is now becoming a community that values self interest before the best interest of the game. Don't think you can afford to hide stuff in MK9, because you know why? Let's face it, this community is small, people only damage it more when someone comes out with some broken ass shit in tournaments, which makes current and potential players not play anymore.

Diago, Tokido etc, can hide their shit because their SF community is huge, and it won't impact the game as much. Diago hiding in the shadows didn't stop <insert guy who won EVO> from winning EVO2K11 because the SF community has better resources to train.

What's wrong with hidden tech? As long as the person hiding it doesn't bitch and claim it's theirs if it gets found out by another person it should be all good.Which is sadly the case of a lot here.

It's not helping the game grow and evolve. All it's helping is bragging rights of you over whoever you beat down with it.

I quote myself here because I am expressing how I feel. I want to beat the person I play with my knowledge vs theirs, my skill vs theirs. I just don't understand the whole secret mentality...it IS selfish no matter how you spin it.

I do respect you man...and I appreciate your words on my NW but no matter how good, cool, awesome or whatever anyone is, I'm just calling the whole "secret tech" thing out. I don't want you to take it personally.
