Exactly lol. Remember when people cried about her being “trash” because she had to spend 2 bars to launch with ex roll? Same with Kitana and her rising blades
both still ended up being top 5
Absolutely, all overreactions.
And then in
Mortal Kombat 11, most characters needed to spend a bar to launch.
Let's not forget that Mileena basically didn't work fundamentally on MKX's release and was simultaneously a bottom 5 and horrendously stripped base kit character in MK11. Let's pray to the Elder Gods Mileena gets a good fucking showing immediately this time around. Her and her sister both.
She was negative on
hit with Telekick...
11 was a crime, like holy shit it felt like she was designed by people who hated her. No launch on Ball, no cancelling teleport, almost all of her iconic moves being separated into different slots, that WACK ass "invisibility".
It was sad too because aesthetically, it was the best she ever looked. But she played like complete ass
As someone who played her, I don't think she played like complete ass, but she definitely had some design issues and needed further balancing. The games wasn't a (traditional) "kombo" game, and her having to spend a Bar to launch was a common thing among the roster. Her not being able to cancel off of Teleport Kick, while weird, fit into the more restrictive system of the game. Krushing Blows were huge in the game, and hers just stunk. Her B1,1,4 Krushing Blow, and of course D2, where her only good ones. Her forward throw would have been great if it's conditions weren't so oppressive
and if it didn't reset the counter in-between rounds. Some of her normals needed tweaking as well.
All of the KP2 characters needed more work, and I fully expect it was meant to happen, but then management nixed that.
