We don't exactly know how Kameos work, yet. Sure, there will probably be assists, but it may go deeper than that, especially if it's a core part of the game.

For all we know, Kameos could interact with Intros and Outros or maybe there's Kameo specific Fatalities.

We don't know anything, yet.

Lootbox season pass? What?

Early access is not available for the standard version pre order. So you have to get the premium or the collectors edition for early access. These include the season pass. The season pass is for 6 characters and 5 Kameos that we dont know beforehand. Thats a 50 bucks lootbox to me.

Basically in order to get early access i have to burn at least 40-50€ extra in advance without knowing what i am buying. Scummy as hell cuz i doubt they will reveal the DLC characters before the game releases.

There isn’t pre-order early access. You get access to the beta via pre-order, and if you get the premium version, you get the game a week in advance aka early access. Pretty sure this will be the industry norm going forward ($10-$20 extra for a week of early access + other perks)

1. Just cuz its become the industry norm doesnt mean that it is not scummy.

Its a different thing if you have to pay an added price for the early access or if you have to buy unknown content to get the early access.

So my problem is not with "pay extra to play a week earlier" (although as said this is scummy too, industry standard or not) but the "pay extra and buy our unknown product too in order to play a week earlier" is what bothers me a lot.

If they now had

• a standard version
• a standard version with early access
• a premium version
• a liu statue version

Than i wouldnt complain that much. It would still be customer milking at its finest but at least i can chose exactly what i want. Now i either buy the standard version or i have to buy the game, the early access and the season pass.

And having to buy the season pass without knowing the exact content is a real shit thing in itself. Ofc if they reveal the DLC characters before the game launches this point is moot. But i doubt its happening.

While the feeling that he might be a nobody now is most present than ever( i'd hate that), i think there's more to it behind all the shots with him, fire god Liu Kang and Kung Lao. Liu references a lot about "choice" and such. And while all the other characters are shown in a glorious manner, Raiden is suspiciously shown as a nobody.

I might be coping though.

I could be wrong, but I think it's done that way on purpose because it seems like Raiden along with Great Kung Lao are the young proteges that Liu Kang will be guiding. (Rather than it being the other way around)

At least these Kameo Fighters will allow us to do some insane combos and setups etc so gameplay is getting a huge upgrade at least. Hopefully that's the main point of them. Kan't wait for all the Kombat Kasts throughout the summer.

Using assist characters in mk11 would reduce the difficulty of the match by 80%, because the A.I. simply couldn't acknowledge the existence of your assist character.

Hopefully they'll fix that now.

The commentary about options facing each other or uniting as brothers heavily suggests there is a lot more than a typical chapter story mode.

i believe its gonna be open world and you can choose a good or bad route. i think we are finally gonna get our shaolin monk konquest style game but its gonna be in story mode this time. take my MONEY NRS

Guest characters ALWAYS feel out of place...

Ehh...maybe with Freddy in MK9, sure. But lets be real, this is a franchise that has always been known for gods, monsters, villains, assassins, action heroes and whatever movie character archetype you can think of revolving around world invasion or time traveling. I don't see how guest characters would feel out of place.

MK11 had it's basic and premium versions, but what they didn't publicise as part of the main marketting campaign was how if you bought the regular edition off Amazon.co.uk or in Russia, you got the Kold War Skarlet as a bonus, and Brasil got Cangaceiro Kano. Annoyingly, there was no way to buy the Premium Edition with Kold War Skarlet.

Yes it seems like both are his humble students.
This is no medieval era probably.
You can see some modernt texhnology in the backround where the ninja bros appear. The existence of Johnny Cage so far implies that if any medieval era exists, it will be as a segment. (Like the mkx time periods?).

Sounds VERY probable. But on the other hand - they could have just teased him in the trailer (maybe even put him instead of Shang this time). But I know that he is not that recognizable among casuals, so maybe they decided to show Shang, while true big bad will be Havik this time.
