WHats the Meteor event?
Every 2h a meteor appears in Towers of Time. That's when you input Left, Up, Left, Right, Left, Up, Up. That spawns a random tower that has a Kombat League skin of the character you fight against. Meteor appears every 2h 10min past full hour. One was just now 4:10am GMT. The next one is at 6:10am GMT etc.

Hello guys!
Did you ever get message like this on PC version? Is it normal? It's the first time this happened to me. I play only on this one PC.
EDIT. After this error, I've restarted the game and everything works correctly, even got tower reward that I should get before getting the error.

Happened to me yesterday for the first time while doing towers. Same error msg.

Btw. I was able to enter top 5% just today after insane grind last 3-4 days. The amount of towers and points we on PC need because of the cheaters compared to consoles is insane. What a disaster.

I'm currently sitting at 4.1%, and I've done 96 towers. Roughly around 40 myself, the rest via my AI.

On the plus side, it's netting me all of Mileena's stuff. I'm now only missing a single Mask, I have all her skins, Klaws, Sais, Cinematics, and Finishers now.

Okay, this might sound really dumb but I'm willing to give it a try.

I had Windows 8.1 when I bought MK11 in 2019, and it worked until last October/November when I started experiencing random crashes and I simply never found a solution to them.

A few days ago I updated my OS to Windows 10. I don't know why, I decided to check MK11's Steam page and the requirements now say: Windows 7 / Windows 10.

WHAT
But if it was working well on Windows 8. What happened?
Anyway, I'm going to reinstall the game and see if this was the issue all along.

Windows 8.1 is past it's support phase, so it's been cut out of more games. Windows 7 is as well, but unlike Windows 8.1, it had wide spread adoption and is still in use by many. Even still, it's slowly being cut as well.

I've seen other games, not just this one, start to remove support for pre-Windows 10 OSes.

I see. I wish I was informed!

The game works now. FUCK ME, I can't believe it.

Is there a way to make hair not look terrible?

I have all textures and level of detail on high. I tried all the AA options, and some are noticeably worse than others but none of them is good enough. I'm a bit puzzled by this, because there aren't many options to tweak either.

What's your video card?

GeForce GTX 1660 6GB
Ah, we have a similar card. I have the Ti version.

So for me, I used GeForce Experience to "optimize" the game, and found it got it spot on save for the Shadow Quality since it doesn't recognize the new "Soft" option. I manually changed that, and the other few options it doesn't touch, and I've found it to be good.

If that doesn't work for you, or your happy with your current settings, toying with AA options is your best bet.

You could also try posting on the Steam forum.

The movie inspired me to dabble in the game again. Now I am noticing abilities disappearing on new variations I save, right after I save them. Anyone else experience the same?

Yes it's been like that since forever. Just save them again right after, should work.
Yup. Once you create a Variation, check to make sure the Abilities saved. If not, re-add them. This is also not a PC exclusive issue, but a general game issue.

Is there any PC crossplay?

What should I expect to pick this up around next time it goes on sale on steam? Cheapest way to get game + DLC characters?

None of my progress/gear/variations carries over right?

No crossplay.
The Ultimate bundle comes with everything (except Shao Kahn I believe).
NOPE. Starting entirely from scratch on everything.

Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate does indeed come with Shao Kahn, unless the bundle is different on PC. I just bought it on Xbox One X and he's there. What's missing are any pre-order skin packs, and of course premium skin packs.

I really wish the benchmark was an actual... benchmark. It's impossible to find the best stable settings for MK11 on PC without random dips to 56-58 frames randomly (usually with blood spatter/ FX). What's the go-to performance options without it looking like total dog shit? Ryzen 7/rtx 2070

What's worked well for me is simply optimizing the game via GeForce Experience (save I've increased the Shadow Quality to the new "Soft" setting as opposed to "Very High" since that option isn't recognized by GeForce Experience). I've only ever had dips and such when there's been a connection issue by doing so, and offline is silky smooth.

I have an older Intel i5 with a GeForce GTX 1660 Ti. I play at 1080p.

When I played a lot up until around the end of the first dlc I found I had constant 60fps. I noticed I only got fps 56-60 when playing certain people on my friends list and it happened every single time I played said people. At the time I was playing i5-8400 and 2080 @1440p with zero dips in any single player modes. At the time I assumed it was the other person not having a setup capable on running solid 60fps but I never really figured out the reason. Of course every time I asked them they would say its perfect on their end.

I was so frustrated with hitching online that I slowly rebuilt my entire computer and home network trying to find improvements. Sometimes I thought it was me and sometimes I had to wonder if it was other people being incapable of noticing they weren't actually running smoothly. Sometimes it ran great, and sometimes not. Eventually it was working well enough I stopped caring as much and just accepted the lot.

The rollback stuff adds some murky stuff to figuring it out because it puts more stress on the system online doing the rollbacks that it doesn't have to pay a cost for in single player. But on the flip side, you could also have a slower system on the other end of the line and your faster system has to keep injecting pauses to let them sync back up meaning it sucks to be the better system.
