Except it actually does. The majority of customers, it actually works and patches just fine. With such a variety of hardware configurations though, issues will crop up for some customers; it's unavoidable when using a non-standardized platform.

I know they patched again for the movie costumes and what not, but I don't see patch notes for it to know if it included the hotfix changes or not. Anyone know? I'm not even sure what they were beyond something with Rain on one side and a Kotal thing of some sort.

A pre-emptive one wouldn't, no, since the files haven't been replaced yet.

It's just odd that it keeps happening to you. Silly question, but have you tried rebooting your system after the patch and seeing if it properly plays without the verification after that?

Nah haven't tried that, but I'll try it next time.

The pc notes are usually listed as PC specific. I was assuming that was the console stuff that already had the hotfix stuff. I thought there was some Kotal Tick through thing but I don't see it in any notes, so IDK.

It specifies it's for the PC version as well in the body of the notes.

On a scale from 1-10 how would yall rate the PC port? I know it’s not perfect compared to console but that still seems like a steal. No crossplay but I have a friend thinking about pulling the trigger on this deal too.

I'd give it a 9, personally. If you do go for it though, make sure you meet or exceed the system requirements.

in terms of graphics, yeah, if you have a decent rig (not a potato one) , is quite beautiful , running on 4k at 60 fps

anyway, depending of your hardware combination, some crashes can occur, from time to time, hehe

I play in 1080p at 60 FPS with all the bells and whistles at max, and the game is gorgeous.

In terms of crashes, after my experience with the Xbox One version of Mortal Kombat XL, the PC versions don't seem any less stable in general than the console versions. For Mortal Kombat XL, while it had a troubled launch, I've actually found it more stable than the Xbox One version! Can't speak for the PlayStation 4 versions as I've never touched those.

Possibly, but they've never done a PC game before, and maybe they're not confident in that and that's why it's always outsourced.

For next generation, I'm actually curious how they compare to the PC version now. I haven't seen any comparison vids yet.

Port itself is a 10 for me. My rig is not the best but I've had no issues with performance apart from some fps drops on 1 specific stage but even that got fixed now somehow.

Literally see this 2 min after buying PSN again just in case someone I play over the weekend wanted to use Rain.

It won't hurt to have, and it was discounted. Not as discounted as I would have liked, but I guess life will go on. Otherwise glad we are squared up.

It’s a laptop. The HD on my old one was starting to fail so I had to get a new one before I really wanted to :/

Funny enough I think the biggest issue is my storage. I went ahead and bought the game and it’s like 100 GB. Gonna wait for my extra SSD to get here (laptop has an empty port for more memory) and install it on that.

You're more than fine; you should be able to play the PC version at max settings, likely over 1080p.

My recommendation when you get the game, use GeForce Experience and see what it recommends. Let it do it's thing. Then in game, change Shadows to "Soft," which is the best option.

Run the game's benchmark and if you average 60 FPS, rock on.
