Bolt Thrower's last album in '05 was actually really damn good, but yeah, metal today sucks ass. There are still the smaller bands who rip off the greats and they're okay, but eh they just don't have the energy that the prior bands had. The time passed.Yes very true. Most metal today is overproduced overly mainstreamed ripoffs of the greats. Bolt Thrower was great(was? I think they are still at it actually). So were they're country mates Benediction and of course the almighty Carcass.
Florida was of course the home of American death metal. To me Chuck Shuldiner and Death were the absolute top of the form for that style. But I also liked Nocturnus,Cynic(Focus was amazing) Morbid Angel(Blessed are the sick was beast)Immolation,Athiest,Malevolent Creation, god there were so many. Fuck man, metal fukin blows now. What the fuck happened???
^ Likewise, but with some MK cosplay added in.Korn - Get Up (Featuring Skrillex)
Dude, the 80's to 90's were just the best time for metal. It's SHIT now. I mean, fuck it, it's so god awful that it's not even worth trying to keep up with.Yea I know pathetic ,Mostly 90's tunes. I can't help it. I suppose I'm stuck in that era. Hell I still have my old pair of doc martens! ofl:
yea that is the only song i listen to while im playing MK9 lolIt's very disappointing that they didn't actually put any GOOD music in this game. Mileena's song is just bad ass. It pumped me the hell up for the game in the reveal trailer for her.

They put good music in the game. Love all the music in the game and on the stages. Dan Forden did a good job. It's very disappointing that they didn't actually put any GOOD music in this game. There are still bands putting out killer albums! Coming up this year are the new Morbid Angel and Hate Eternal, earlier this year saw new Ulcerate and Blut Aus Nord and last year had new Immolation and Suffocation, all which are sick.Dude, the 80's to 90's were just the best time for metal. Eh, once I heard it's without Pete I just lost interest completely. Then when I heard it was Tim Yeung I just lost respect for Trey. Tim's talented but Divine Heresy is just god awful terrible. The only Morbid Angel album I truly love is Covenant, to be honest. I'll check out the new Hate Eternal though. Immolation lost their edge to me after Close to a World Below, I love that album and Dawn of Possession. Don't know what happened there. There are still bands putting out killer albums! Yea, it's stupid that they recorded without Pete, but what I've heard sounds promising. Also, Tim Yeung was in some pretty sweet bands before playing with Divine Heresy (who are awful) so he gets a pass for that from me. I also disagree about Suffo's new stuff. Souls to Deny was lame, but the self titled and Blood Oath kick some ass.Eh, once I heard it's without Pete I just lost interest completely. Suffocation's early stuff I really enjoy as well, but eh, their new stuff just doesn't cut the mustard for me.
I'm too much of a purist, I know I am, but eh. I'm an old school guy.
I actually heard this for the first time at a party yesterday and I gotta say, I was pretty into it.
