Scorpion and Sub-Zero are the "Ryu and Ken" of MK franchise .... besides, Scorpion is the favorite of Ed Boon, so, will never be out of this modern era of MK games (MK9 and all games made so far and in future for MK franchise series)

And yeah, if for some bizarre reason, any of these 2 could be out of any next future mk games, the so called "rational fanbase" would not like , not one bit, of this ......

the MK stans phenomena, regarding a MK characters absence, is proportional to how much a certain character is popular among the MK fanbase, and how much negative impact to the game his\her absence can cause for the success of the game, so , a absent Scorpion or Sub-Zero , is much more relevant than, for example, a absence of Kenshi or Reptile for a MK new game estabilished target group

yep, but, when aftermath has came , Shang Tsung, Sindel and Nighwolf , as characters were released before, and so, they are playable in the Aftermath story .... so, same can happen here : show Mileena, Rain as stand alone DLC that will be playable too , in a future story mode aftermath 2.0 .... same scenario, you can have them (Mileena and Rain) now, without the future story chapters expansion .... and later, they take part of the story mode, no problem !

It's a shame the whole "Edenian resistance" led to nothing. Terrible writing overall, but it could have been an interesting story.

I was just wonder-hoping that instead of retconning her entire character (even though a brand new Mileena escaping the Flesh Pits would make plenty of sense), that the Mileena we get is actually Deception Mileena, and she was pulled from the original timeline to hold shit down, because THAT was the best Mileena has ever been.

In addition, Scorpion never got his own adventure game, while Sub-Zero, Jax, and Liu Kang/Kung Lao did.

On the topic of Mileena, she's been excluded from other games before (Mortal Kombat 4, Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, and Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe as I recall). So has Kitana, for that matter.

Kitana was added in to updated versions of the games she’s missed. So technically, she’s been in every game since her debut back in MK2

Yup, thanks to Mortal Kombat: Unchained. Interestingly, it's the only version of Mortal Kombat: Deception that I've played.

My friend from the discord, who was right about the 3 characters found by the thiny, tells me he saw files for Reiko or Daegon a long time ago (like a year),but doesn't know what was in them.

DvdGameCenter was right. Talked about KP2 being split into 2 parts of 3 characters each, Takeda in Orderealm, The Pyramid of Argus. Look at this pictures compilation I made from his comments on reddit and how it matches with recent information:

wrong .... the characters, the ones that NRS always feel that are the best options as "most profitable viable" , they will always be in the game, no matter what, no matter even if the story mode script story fits not well for some of them, hehe

so, a certain "group" of already selected by NRS, will be always present in MK games, you can bet your ass on that !
