Exactly, classic games. Historical relics of a time when the main role for strong female characters was to be "fighting fuck-sticks".

I have no agenda here. I like T&A. I just think these skins are best appreciated in the past, for their time.

To each their own, I guess. Nostalgia is a big crowd pleaser in general.

Problem is in both MK2 and MK3 females had different body types where these kind of outfits looked really good and were great fit for their body types. Also these suits were popular... back then.

I mean just look at MK2 skins that we got... They are ok i guess, but that's about it. They just don't fit with how they changes Kitana's, Jade's and Skarlet's designs for MK11.

These MK3 skins could have easily be in KL or in Premium Shop. It's literally one, same skin in different colors. I would much more prefer something new and unique looking for both Skarlet and Jade. I feel like Kitana got too many skins already.

Oh c'mon bro... yes, nostalgia sells big, but nostalgia is not the main reason these skins are popular.

When MK11 was first revealed, the fan boys weren't screaming in protest because the skins weren't nostalgic enough; they were screaming because the skins didn't show enough, well, skin.

It's kinda silly to pretend this isn't fan service. But it is what it is. It was just an observation.

I expected these skins, I thought maybe it'd be MK9 Sonya and stuff like that...but yeah I expected MK9 Kitana, Jade, Skarlet.

But since they are the same costume for 3 characters, they shoulda been time krystal costumes and the premium pack 3 uniques.

The outfits do show how the 3 characters have the same bust too...perhaps everyone should have been given Sindel's body heh.

I'm all for a bit of nostalgia. I can't pretend I don't have a variant of each of the characters in a retro outfit to truly make it feel like "them". But this is the first skin pack we've had that literally has covered the exact same 3 characters in how they mildly changed in appearance from just one game to the next, back from the time where the costumes for all characters barely changed anyway.

I know we've had the male classic ninjas pack for Sub Zero, Scorpion and Noob, but then we also got Deception Sub Zero and MK9 Scorpion in the Eternal Klash skin pack, but those were SO different to the MK2 gear that the classic male ninja pack gave them that it seemed justified.

This however just seems rather pointless and repetitive; we've already had old-school 2D photo-captured female lycra ninja costumes for Skarlet, Jade and Kitana, I personally just feel we really didn't need the slightly updated "Fall/Winter '95 Collection" versions for them as well (classic Kitana war-fan notwithstanding).

But hey, I'm not turning them down, just seems a bit redundant when there's so many female characters who could do with something truly fresh and flattering that doesn't involve cosplay as movie characters or other fighters.

They actually don't at all. I put it to the test (yes I'm currently very single and had far too much time on my hands during lockdown) with side views of them all in the MK2 ninja gear. Kitana has the smallest lowest-hanging bust, Skarlet then slightly perkier and larger, with Jade coming out in top place with a lovely high-sitting solid C-cup that suggests she's perhaps either got a wonder-bra on under there or a fantastic surgeon.

Or just fucking beautiful tits.

Yeah, people complaining about the female skins and such at launch were hilarious.

Having said that, not everyone needs polygons to get off. Some people actually do like the nostalgia. For me, klassic skins remind me of good times with friends in arcades.

Ya know, that would actually explain Sonya's voice acting in this game!

Turns out, Ronda Rousey isn't a shitty voice actress at all, she's actually an incredible method-actor trying to perfectly capture the perpetual agony of someone with lifelong spinal injuries from having taken part in a martial arts tournament with a 38DD boob-job, then having to spar witty dialogue with someone she's masking too much pain to want to converse with!!! :eek:

She just needs Jax's tech on her spine and she can have that boobjob back. ;)

And Skarlet's outfit in MK9 was a two piece so NRS got lazy or didn't want as much skin. They shoulda brought in the mobile skin she got....this would be real nice:17315

Kinda dissapointing, since it's just the same model slapped on to 3 girls, it would cost them minimal effort to port all female heads on to it, so Cassie, Jackie, Frost, Sonya, Sindel etc. could have one
