This is such a ridiculous take.

You’re also not taking Take Two into account, who would be far better than EA or Activision WITHOUT then shafting a good portion of their fan base by making it console exclusive. Even Ubisoft would be better, and Take Two and Ubisoft would be far better than MS tbh. Gears of War 5 was a micro transaction mess, worse than any recent Ubi title and worse than anything under Take Two barring NBA 2K. I don’t trust MS for shit.

Take Two is better then Activision and EA, I will give you that, but still not great, they still have questionable tactics outside of anything with Rockstar and sorta Firaxes.

Ubi however, I think would be a decent fit, but I don't see them dropping that kind of money on these developers.

Console exclusivity is bad, and I really don't like it, but Sony and Microsoft are the only ones I'm confident in not disbanding the studio after 2 games they only sell a measly 5 million copies.

I feel Sony would treat NRS really well and provide the funding to keep the production values that MK has had the past few entries.
MS would allow for a PC port and I would much rather play these on PC.

Shit sucks, but if WB sells NRS, one way or another it's bad.

A casino in GTAO almost 6 years after release, and I’ve already said NBA is bullshit. RDR2 is great value, but you chose to omit that eh?

Lol Ubisoft servers are great on console. And yes, just because it’s Ubisoft it’d all of a sudden become an open world singleplayer game.

For Honor and Rainbow Six Siege say hi. Great commitment to support those games, unlike NRS currently dropping shit before 2 years....oh and GOW5 is dead as fuck now. Great support, took the money and ran.

Speaking about changes, the abusive dlc policy has only gotten worse and worse in mk title after title since Warner controls the saga (I don't even want to think about the obscene amount of money all the dlc content in 11 will cost to the user that doesn't wait for the complete). Battlefront 2's economic practice was so predatory on release they probably had the biggest backlash in the video game industry since E.T. on Atari 2600. They tried to justify their shit with their (in)famous "pride and accomplishment" post on reddit and now EA has the record of the most downvoted post of reddit history with some 680.000 downvotes.
And Battlefront 2 now charge to "upgrade" to have access to the Rise of Skywalker content, so the game has a DLC. Also Fallen Order has a DLC to have access to some cosmetics and BFV, despite having free updates, is the most rushed and least well designed Battlefield I have ever seen.

I do agree that WB's policy is far from being honest and consumer-friendly. The KP1 was charged $40, so the same price as Injustice 2, except that Injustice 2's season pass was enough to have access to all content for the entire lifespan of the game (9 characters + premium skins) while MK11 is only 6 characters and a few skins for a single year of content. And now with Aftermath we have to pay another $40 for 3 characters... Also let's not forget how outrageous MK11's economic practice was on release.

If this does in fact happen the Mortal Kombat IP would remain with ATT/Warnermedia/Warner bros. They would remain the owners of the IP just like DC/Injustice. I’m sure this would include licensing rights for these properties for a certain duration of time, but the purchaser would not own them. The only way this wouldn’t be so is if the MK IP was bundled into the deal which I doubt it would be but who knows. This in itself could be very harmful to the series depending on the deal and the buyer. Imagine MK being made by a different developer other than NetherRealm(or not at all), and that’s if NetherRealm even exists and isn’t dissolved later down the road.

Out of all of these companies I see Microsoft being the biggest contender. They have been purchasing studios to contend with Sony in the next generation. There are reported to be two silent potential buyers and the rumor is the MS is one of them. If it is them they might even keep MK multi-platform like Minecraft, who knows.

I think this is a smart mvoe as they are wanting to sell MK when it is a hot ticket to cash out. I don't think it is because MK has done poorly when it hasn't. I hope they don't do this move as it creates a lot of issues for past NRS games.(See MK9.).

Potentially, but one of the last companies I would want to put 'faith' into is Microsoft.

I'd rather there be ZERO possibility of them keeping MK as an exclusive. Best way to ensure that is to keep them the fuck away from it.

All we need to do is make D1 better, get rid of jump ins, remove breakaway, nerf D2, improve anti-airs, get rid of the D1 spam fest, delete all characters other than Scorpion, remove all teleports, bring back run, remove all 50/50, give every character better mixup options, bring back Mileena, get rid of run, improve dashes, fix all the hitbox issues, get rid of staggers, give everyone 4 launchers, remove all projectiles, and put in every single character ever.
