I mentioned a few days ago I was feeling a little off, and that's continued. Symptoms keep coming and going and are minor. No cough, fever, or breathing issues thankfully, but mild headaches, mild nasal pressure, nausea, etc. Last night I developed mild tightness in my upper chest, and that was still present this morning, so I took the Province's online self assessment test and called TeleHealth Ontario as a result.
The nurse directed me to the ER, who immediately sent me to a COVID-19 testing facility. I've now done the test and am awaiting the results, which I should get in one to three business days.
The chest tightness has mostly faded, replaced by a mild headache.
I have a compromised immune system, so if this is COVID-19, you'd think it would hit me harder and that the symptoms would remain instead of coming and going for over four days. However, it's better safe than sorry and I go for my Crohn's Disease treatment later this week which, by design, represses my immune system. If this is the virus, that treatment would be a very, very bad idea right now. If it's not, then I need that treatment to keep my digestive health in order, thus the primary reason I went for testing. And for the piece of mind. And to make sure I'm not going to give anyone else the virus.
So we'll see. I personally do think I'm dealing with a head cold or allergies or sorts, along with IBS and stress, but again, better to be sure.
