Doesn't it travel farther, faster? Though it definitely sucks to have to spend meter on it without knowing that it will hit.
Some people are loyalists, you gotta respect that. Also some people might look at the lore and see this strong badass boss-like character but then he's bottom 2 in MK11 and I can totally understand how they feel about that too. I don't even play Shao but I want him to be on Geras's level just because of that.

It's only minus on hit when done in an aerial combo and the restand may just be there to have the amplified portion hit consistently.
From the perspective of being a loyalist I get it. I literally only played Predator for the longest time in MKX and I didn't have the problem of him being a lower tier character. And yea I mean it would make sense that he is visually a total badass and has that in his lore.

I don't know man. I never really looked at tier lists cause I didn't really pay attention to that kind of thing when I was playing that game. I was just getting into fighting games on a higher level than just learning a few basic moves when I started with MKXL. But I know from reading the old MKX forums he was pretty hated for his "broken" status. I actually was an HQT main. But I did learn Warrior and Hunter. Hunter I learned mainly to pull off the crazy Sonic fox combo that was like 55 percent and Warrior I learned just so I could hit sick shit into his self destruct brutal. Nothing funner than pulling that off.
B4 is good. I use F34 all the time as well. If F34 was made special cancellable, it would be my favorite move by far. I don't understand why they just don't at least let Shao Kahn have that. It would help him so much.
Predator was top 5 when he launched, but was progressively nerfed. Still good though, HQT was still really good in the last patch, but I dont think he was top 10, but I think it is arguable. MKX had its issues but Hunter and HQT Predator was so damn fun

I will say as much as I'll defend HQT not being broken overall.....his D4 was broken AF lol. It was so fast and had so much range plus it was special cancelable into all of his specials haha. The opening of 99.9 percent of 1st rounds in Predator mirrors was a "lets see who's D4 gets buffered and hits first." lol.
I was a Sub-Zero player so I know how busted Predator can feel, especially his D4 which nullified my ice klone. He was very overwhelming when he launched, before Predator got nerfed a shit ton and before Sub-Zero got a few buffs that helped out his kloneless nenutral.
Well I am almost positive I was playing after the final patch cause I only played like the 9 months before MK11 was released but it only nullified the clone if you were in range he hit you. I used to get walk back baited into D4ing by Subz all the time. Lol yea and his problems of not having good wake up options were especially on display against blenders like Sub. If even was able to get up from a cornered knock down against a Sub or Sorcerer Quan I considered it a small miracle.
