Injustice 2 tier list discussion 2020

Played Aquaman, and he def has no business being in A tier, he's B tier at best. Aquaman struggles against way too many of the top tiers (CW, Atrocitus, Superman, Starfire, Dr Fate all convincingly beat him) in this game and loses to the top 10 except for Batman and Manta and gets hard countered by a fair share of the cast (Firestorm and Poison Ivy come to mind) any matchups that he does win are usually against those in mid to low tier. FTD nerf and getting basically nothing to compensate for that pretty much hinders him from being nothing more than a niche counterpick. If FTD was even -20 he'd be in a far better place since -24 is a pretty easy benchmark to reach for punishes for the cast especially around midscreen.

Wowo and Aqua always seem to be highly debated, I've heard pro players say she's top 10(I disagree) and I've always seen others say the total opposite, she's not good, overrated (also disagree)etc. Similar story line with Aqau just not as extreme so if there's much debate wether they are great or bad doesn't that just kinda put them somewhere in the middle.

Scarecrow is a solid a- / b, he gets easily zoned out by a lot of the cast and his tp is too bad to make a difference, up close tho hes a beast cuz of his command grab mixups.
Flash and Adam are s- / a+, they are really strong and can go toe to toe with everyone in the cast, they just aren’t on the same level as the broken characters to be in the highest possible tier.
Fate is hands down top 3 in the game. Self explanatory.
Enchantress being an unpopular character, makes her look scary if u dont know the mu, but if u do you will realize she’s all gimmicks and nothing she does is real, and since charts are made based on the highest possible level of gameplay i would put her right above the worst tier cuz she’s still better than raiden and ralph who are in that tier, but bottom 3 nonetheless.

Why is Enchanteress all gimmicks? She seem to do really good vs rushdown character thx to her trait and has alright anti zoning tools

Wowo off the top of my head dominate Bane pretty badly and also beat Robin

I played Batman and Black Manta mostly, with the occasional Scarecrow. I had a lot of fun with Injustice 2 and look forward to jumping back into it someday. I’ve always had a soft spot for the Injustice series. If there’s one thing that I think both entries did well, it’s character diversity. The character designs all felt unique and varied, with the trait system having a large role in it.

I tend to favor rushdown and pressure as Batman. Manta has a great neutral with a number of anti-zoning tools. His trait felt fun use for squeezing out more meterless damage, but I never really felt like I used it to its full potential, whatever more it might’ve had.

Hell, WoWo beat Robin so bad that Hayatei actually picked up another character to deal with her as I recall. If that's not a bad matchup, I don't know what is.

Mostly played Harley. People more or less have the right of it when they put her just above the bottom. It's a damn shame, since on paper she was a good character with strong tools, but in matchups she got bodied by most every other zoner and had horrific whiffing issues that were never addressed. Only change she ever got was to make b2 work on floating characters :/

Ever heard of Rocket League? I feel like she is the "Octane" of this game. The Jack of all trades, Nothing special but no real weakness. Pros CONSTANTLY Use that but play a public match? Octane is so boring it doesn't exist!

I suspect you are joking cause that kinda does exist, but one of the problems that happens is that people don't have general agreement on what matchup numbers(10-0 format) mean

By gimmicks i meant her trait setups, none of them are real. Shes also slow in all her normals.
She does okay-ish against rushdown characters when she has the trait out cuz they cant go nuts on her and she can easily bait a jump over the trait and d2 aa (one of the few things she have that is actually good).
And against zoners like fate and starfire she just gets obliterated cuz her reflect only reflects one projectiles and these characters all have multi hit projectiles that beat it. The only thing she can rely is having a 25% chance of getting the hex that shut down special moves.
Starfire imo is her worst mu by a mile cuz her trait doesn’t give a damn about reflect and she cant do nothing at all against her.

LOL it actually took until 2020 for people to understand ScareCrow's true tier placement.
Brings back memories of twats calling him top 5 because of random whiteboi spam.

Kinda like it's happening now with Cage.

Fate is actually one of the easiest characters to play against as Enchantress
As for star fire, If you know her moves you can keep her in that infinite combo she has

She can counterzone most character and setting up her trait behind the reflect isn't a gimmick in most MU or just setting it up at range vs rushdown character
